It may not be popular, but I'm with you on DWL.

I'm a huge Lukas apologist but his statement with his reason for entering is ridiculous.

I can't speak for anyone else, but taking issue with dwls motives for entering Mr. Z is certainly not to be considered an indictment of his entire career. Everyone knows lukases record overall.

In the eighties, Lukas was the grim reaper of horse flesh.

He was the horse holocaust.

I remember one time he entered a filly that was off from and I was told by a friend that the barn expected her to breakdown. She did, and died.

Anyone that defends him defends him from a position of ignorance.

He's a disgusting piece of shid.

Guess I'm just ignorant, I've heard all the horror stories, must be true cause they appear frequently on the net based on whispers from the backstretch, guess it takes an intellect greater than mine to realize the gossip of losers is the source of truth.

If it makes it easier for you to rationalize your belief by dismissing facts, you truly are beyond hopeless.

Whispers from the backstretch? Hardly. I knew the person extremely well and found him to be pretty reliable when he passed on info like that.

If you actually took ten minutes to research all the horses he butchered in the 80's and into the 90's, maybe you'd form an opinion based on reality, instead of fantasy.

Nobody even came close to his levels of attrition.

Gossip of losers? Man, you are clearly the biggest idiot on this board.

How the heck is it gossip when he tells me before the race that the horse is expected to break down, the horse then breaks down, and is euthanized?

In what sort of vampire fantasy reality do you live in?

I really can't stand people like you.

Go stick your head back into a hole in the ground.

PRIVMAN: American Pharoah will be only horse to run in all 3 legs of Triple Crown this year

Looks like AMERICAN PHAROAH will be the only horse to run in all three Triple Crown legs. Dortmund is getting off the trail. "He's getting a little light," Baffert said. Firing Line and Danzig Moon are likely headed to other spots.

As of this morning, the Belmont challengers I've got for American Pharoah largely consist of horses who ran in the Derby and skipped the Preakness -- Frosted, Materiality, Keen Ice, Mubtaahij, Carpe Diem, and Frammento.

Madefromlucky, the Peter Pan winner, is also expected, as is Preakness runner-up Tale of Verve, who did not draw into the Derby.

Thank you.

I seem to be suffering lately from a resurgence of intolerance for idiots.

By the way, I keep seeing excuses for the lack of performance of AP's competition.

Rain, breaks, etc.

Has it occurred to anyone else that an exceptionally fast pace by an exceptionally fast horse with staying power simply just ran his opponents off their feet??

He probably deserves a pretty fast figure, but I'm sure they'll come back with something around 101-103ish.

This may be so BUT as blinding as the light may be (and as, I believe, Pointman can attest to), there is another who makes Buffy look like a member of MENSA.

If you missed the Belmont thread you missed a real treat.

Martin Garcia should get a good bit of credit for his questionable tactics on Dortmund.

No need to defend or debate AP. He has been impressive. Let him put the nayyyyyyysayers to rest in three weeks.
