Default ROI Results 2014

Our racing year ended with the Breeders Cup and will restart November 15th for the 2015 season. The highest ROI return for 2014 belongs to Husker Princess with a return of $1355. Digger took second with a $1040 profit and Roamin rounds out the positive ROIers with a $775 profit. The closest players to the top 3 were myself at -3.5%, Joly at -8.25%, AE at -9.37% and Ruffian at -9.74%. 2014 was tough sledding after 51 weeks. The most wins were recorded by Ruffian with 7. Real Quiet, Criminal Type and NJ Stinks added 5 each. Hitting the board the most was Plenilune cashing 36.36% of the days played just edging out Dapplehorse who cashed 36% of the time.

Since 2009 when I started scoring the ROI we have played 347 weeks. Two players who have participated in well over 100 each still have positive ROI's. Last years leader was NJ Stinks and after this year he is still in the black with an ROI of 1.64%. Taking the lead however after the Breeders Cup is Digger who posted a positive ROI this year and now takes first with an overall ROI of 11.06%. Congrats to both of these players who continue to make good wagers on over ten races a week at different venues year after year. Overall I still lead the contest with 31 wins. Joly B and Criminal Type each have 26 with Ruffian adding 23. Criminal Type has the highest win percentage at 10.44% and Joly B is the in the money leader at 28.70%. Overall we are down $116,131 and as soon as we get that to the plus side Don will distribute the winnings <grin>. GotaDunQH is the latest player to pass the 100 week mark.

See you all in the gate after a much needed freshening for a week.

RQ, that is quite a tour de force. If you are not a statistician in real life, you should be.

I was most taken by the cumulative loss of $116,131. Clearly, despite all of our practice and experience, we still have a lot of work to do. It only shows that this is a tough game.
