Jets need to start Tebow vs Bills a team that has packed it in and can't stop a mobile QB if their life depended upon it. He will easily put up a 100 yds rushing and probably will torch them for a few TD's. After he does this the Bills being the team with the most inept front office in football will probably offer the Jets a draft pick for him and install him as starter next year. Just thinking out loud.

The Tebow experiment is over, actually it never even got started. But at this point I think it's the worst possible thing that they could do. What would the fallout be if they put Tebow in now and he had a gigantic day running/passing, leading them to a blowout victory? Rex would be doing nothing but making the target on his back even bigger. At this point play McElroy and start working on your plans for the off-season.

Unfortunately for me there's a strong chance.
Tomorrow is a home game and Mrs. MaTH's brother, fiance and kids are coming over. My mother in law will be present too. The liquor cabinet is full and I plan to start drinking as soon as the boys open their gifts.

Please pray for me.

Hide a camera somewhere. That action would be priceless.

and supposedly rex will be back for another season. i'm surprised by that. but, i have to wonder if it matters who they get to coach. the owner seems to be the real issue.

Well the next failed NFL QB from USC should be available when the Jets draft unless my woeful Bills front office snatches him right before the Jets pick. On another note the Jets would have won that game easily if they never attempted a pass. All they needed to do is run the damn ball every play gainst that sad sack run Def.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 10m
Jets announced they fired GM Mike Tannenbaun and are keeping HC Rex Ryan.

Lovie Smith fired as well.

The only problem I have with what the Jets did, is that the one guy who didn't hold anyone accountable for their performances, wasn't held accountable for what transpired this year.

Tannenbaum was originally Parcells' "Capologist", and was elevated to the GM's job without much background in talent evaluation. Certainly the people he relied on to make those decisions are at fault also.

What the Jets need to do is hire an Offensive assistant head coach, to handle the offense, and play bad cop, to allow Rex to deal with the defense, and play good cop, which appear to be his strengths to begin with.

With so many coaching vacancies, one has to think that half of the teams needing a HC will miss on their next choice. Here's to the Birds not being one of them.

Sad day in Philadelphia sports history.

Tannenbaum had to go but I think they should have gave Rex the boot too.
