I bet a couple of filly connections just pissed themselves at their own chances increasing. Hope the filly bounces back.

I think he is more in utter shock that a fever 14 days before a race means they are absolutely out.

Horse could be fine in like 2-3 days and not miss a lick.

Depending on what they had to treat her with, the withdrawal time would be right on the cusp of pushing it. Good on the connections for being forthcoming. Sucks all the same. The race did just become a much better betting prospect though. Maybe an Oneil double this year? Assmussen has a nice hand, though.

Congrats to the connections for putting the horse's welfare first. Always another race down the road. Also for letting everyone know early. Bet a few connections that wanted no part of Songbird are changing their plans.

The people who bet her in the Ky Oaks future pool will take great comfort in this

One of the many reasons I think those future pools are a ripoff.
