Default What might have been

I'm sure the people who follow Dubai remember him...

His name is Ampelio.

He was trained by Doug Watson, won 2 in a row at Nad al Sheba (around 2006). Maybe 1 or two other races.

He was 2nd to Dynamic Saint, 3rd to Quijano, and was exported (here).

I didn't even know where Ruidoso Downs was. Had to look it up.

Did he win that race in 2006? And how did the horse that DNF do at Ruisodo?

HIs only win in 2006 was the Kallemni Trophy H. in Dubai.

I never did find out how the other horse was... I'll have to check around.
