Default He's No Pie Eater is gone.....

Shocked. His future was so bright.....

What a shame.

He’s No Pie Eater put down

Dual Group One winner He’s No Pie Eater’s has been euthanased after he shattered a shoulder at track work this morning at Randwick.

The winner of the Chipping Norton Stakes and Rosehill Guineas was floated of the Randwick dirt after he trotted a short distance but after examination at the Randwick Equine Centre the off side shoulder was deemed "totally non weight bearing".
The son of Canny Lad was destined for a career as a stallion after his racing career and it is believed a lucrative stud deal would have been completed in the next week.
It is also believed that the insurance claim will be the largest ever to be paid out for an Australian racehorse.
From 16 starts he has won five races with another five placings and returned his connections $756,500.

For those of you not familiar with his name, he had won two Group 1s in a matter of 3 weeks.....

He was only three.

Oh my gosh, I'm shocked, too. Wasn't he just scratched from a race in the past few days?

Yeah, the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Desert War won..... I was rooting for both of them.

Just shocking.

This is dated tomorrow.....
