I could have ran 2nd in that race, with you a distant 3rd.

Just broke his maiden at OP at 4/5. Came from a mile out and the race was brutally slow but he will have no distance limitations whatsoever.

This thread is a great example of how valuable discussing races (and trips) can be.

When looking the threads in this room, I see that some of the horses I put on here I'm still waiting to return (and some never race again). This horse was a strange example, because although he continued racing since October when this started, it wasn't until yesterday that he raced on the proper surface.

There are at least of few un named DTer's who don't believe in the "Chase"
Sometimes it's the right thing to do

This wasn't a chase. Waiting for a horse to come back on what you percieve is the proper surface is not chasing. It's good handicapping. Congrats.

A chase is when you put a horse in your stable mail after a bad trip and proceed to bet that horse every time he runs over the next several years all the while burning your money because you can't not have him when he finally breaks through.

I agree with all of this, especially the second paragragh.

PLEASE, Don't encourage him. This room is for trip handicappers.

As for the CHASE, it is what it is, you can't stop it, only hope to contain it
