I don't get it. My remark awhile back about some tracks running stakes races after famous horses, in races that don't make sense?

Big MOFO. It will be interesting to see how far he can go.

There were three very impressive winners on that card today.

Oh yeah, and about Shared Beliefs win today.

That was a pretty bush league move by Baffert and Espinoza. After that whining by Baffert about how people enter speed against Game on Dude, he basically uses Sky Kingdom today as nothing more than a tool to take Shared Belief out of the race.

Watching that, it would be hard to dispute that him floating out into the first turn was intentional. It looked like Smith and Espinoza might have been jawing at each other during the race after that happened.

Hey Bob, look up the meaning of the word hypocrite.

And no RHT, I don't want to hear your robotic response defending your hero.

I didn't think I'd ever see Baffert resort to such sour grape tactics.

WOW. That was 10 times more impressive than his Pacific Classic win. What a monster.

100% agree..Bushleague Bob. To bad SA doesn't have Trakus..Amazing effort. How about 2yo American Pharoah running faster than Beholder albeit easier trip.

Santa Anita does have trakus. Shared Belief ran 66 more feet than Fed Biz.

Congratulations to Beholder as well. Going for a repeat in the BC Distaff. If she wins, she'll join Goldikova as the only 3 time winners but she'll be the only won to do it in 2 different BC races.

I hope Mandella was right that was she was short for that race, I thought she ran ok but really needs to move forward off that effort.

I saw it more for Espinoza wanting to beat SB for California Chromes changes but I guess the Baffert angle makes more sense.

Should be a good story on what was said after the race, look forward to hearing it.

Very impressive win. Still not convinced he'll win the Classic, however.

I never understand a comment like this, not picking on you.....its related to price the way I see it. I am not convinced he is going to win, he probably is something like 30-35 percent so if he is 5/2 I could see betting him but he wont be.

No horse is 100% to win a race.

some interesting comments inside....

That wouldn't be good for Bob. His heart might not be able to take the endless trolling from clones.

Interesting Casp, thanks for posting it. Looks like Espinosa doubled up with his CC ride last week. On that PA Derby note, I wonder why noone puts in a rabbit in Bayerns races to soften him up ?

Per Jay Privman on Twitter, Espinoza has been called in by the stewards to explain his actions yesterday. Wonder if Baffert will be called in too.

EDIT: Privman also tweeted that he spoke to steward Tom Ward, when he asked if they were calling Espinoza in, Ward responded, "yes, and maybe Mr. Baffert too."
