I have a friend or 2 that worry about payoffs while capping a race.....bad move if you ask me....Pik the winners then worry about the payoff..

He's going to say he had it no matter what, that's why he's wondering.

How much you are willing to risk is directly tied (for me anyway) to the potential benefit. It's not crazy to have an idea about the potential payout, it's actually a bankroll management 101 concept in my opinion.

By the look of the card it should pay out nicely... Lots of money burners running, and the HUGE VULNERABLE fav in the 4th... 5 deep in each leg that have a shot

I'd say there are vulnerabilities at almost every turn, and if I'm going to single, it'd be with My Gal Candy in the 5th, but even that isn't strong.

The 2nd's ML fave is 0-19 coming off the best performance of career at 40-1+...and the 9-2 co-second choice is off a 2+ year layoff and trained by like a 1-for-19.

I agree.

I almost always worry about what its going to pay, maybe not so much in this case but 99% of time.

A friend told me he's singling the Miller firster in the 2nd, banking his ticket around it...

I uncovered this Formulator stat...

Peter Miller trainees, last 5 years - debuting in maiden claiming, 3&up...
2 for 29
at Del Mar, 0 for 7 (none hit the board)

Just sayin...

How come the BRIS form shows Debut Mdn claiming - 60 starts -23 % win. Are we comparing the same ?

saw that as well, i'd be shocked if someone took a chance
i remember that horse's 3YO campaign like it was yesterday, father time hasn't treated him too well

work blocks TS so here's my mythical ticket

pk5 .50

1467 / 356 13 /146 /3456 /345 = $288

pk6

146 / 3456 / 345 / 789 10 / 57 / 234689 = $1728 (might as well punch this one and just stand in line, b/c it is, THE GOLDEN TICKET)
