What a shame.
Eishin Flash cancelled to run in 2013 Arima Kinen (The Grand Prix) Eishin Flash (6-y-o horse, trained by Hideaki Fujiwara), cancelled to run in the 2013 Arima Kinen (The Grand Prix) (G1), scheduled for Nakayama Racecourse on December 22, 2013. Trainer Hideaki Fujiwara comment: "We were getting him ready for the Arima Kinen but this morning we noticed something irregular with his gait. As a result of a thorough examination and what appears to be a sprain in the fetlock area of in his right foreleg, (Eishin Flash) is to be pulled from the Arima Kinen and retired. Just thinking of it makes my heart heavy. He has given us his everything all along and it must have been tough on him. I have only feelings of gratitude for what he has given us. And, I would like to express my gratitude to all those who were a part of his life, the stable staff, the breeders and those involved in raising and training him, as well as his departed (former) owner Toyomitsu Hirai." |

Barrier draw...
http://japanracing.jp/_news2014/140328.html Straight Girl is a machine at that track and distance... Hakusan Moon should be the other favorite but I think I will use Lady of Opera, Real Impact or Smart Orion in the 2nd spot instead. I keep looking at Snow Dragon and even though there are knocks against him and it makes more sense to use Red Oval, Copano Richard (his regular jock is in Japan so he has Micro up), Earth Sonic or Majin Prosper think I will include him in the 2nd and 3rd spot(s) and maybe toss in good old San Carlo underneath (both should be at a price). Good luck if you're playing. Oh and golfer? My favorite horse in the race is Silk Fortune who I am not using. Just sayin! Sunday Star are you playing this? Ed? Cardus? Dagolfer? Anyone? |

Looking at the NHK Mile Cup and I'm thinking I'll go with Shonan Wadachi who should be at very good odds.
Interesting race and lots of ways to go. Started looking at pps with a completely different mindset but yeah... I think that's my boy. Thinking about using Kings of the Sun (so pretty ), Atom, Belle Lumiere, Peak Tram and Rosa Gigantea underneath. Good luck if you're playing. edit - Used Kings of the Sun on top in one... Quote:

Man this is overwhelming... such a good field. 5 G1 winners.
My vision is getting blurry from looking.. I think I might just make a big mistake here, go the sentimental route and play Whale Capture to win it (again). Morning line... http://japanracing.jp/_news2014/pdf/140517.pdf |
