I have definitely seen two siblings on the same card before, just recently at Mth, in NJ-bred races for different age groups. Also on Cal-Cup or Gold Rush day in California. In two open races is probably more unusual.
Seems to me that back in 60s, George Pope had two full siblings in the same race and were in a photo for the win, but I can't recall the details. |

The mare Irish Cherry, the dam of GI'ers Spun Sugar and Daaher had two in yesterday........on opposite coasts!
Ironically, they bookended their respective races. The Medaglia d'Oro, Maraschino Red, won in the slop at the Spa, and the Sky Mesa, A Cat Named Snipe, was buried at Del Mar, running last by around 18 lengths for 25K. Serves them right! Who would name a horse A Cat Named Snipe! Just awful! |

Silver Wagon/Rehoboth in the 2008 Sunshine Millions Classic... and on the same card, and should have been in that same race, Diamond Stripes and Summer Book (Summer Book finished 3rd in 2007 and was cross entered in 2008 in the Turf and was sent there.)

Guam Typhoon and Mis Isella on the Spa card today. The dam, La Cucina seems to throw Churchill specialists. We'll see how they do today away from Louisville. Guam Typhoon stretches out in the "Curlin" and Miss Isella goes in the Go For Wand.
