Default Any Pyro Fans Left?

Took this shot today-I think the poor guy wishes he could just be sent to stud.

OK I'll admit it.... I'm still a fan!

Knowing the style he has run and what he did today I'm not giving up on him.

I thought Pyro ran pretty well, particularly since it was his first start back off a 9-month vacation and had a not so clean journey. Gold Trippi simply staggered home a little faster in the final 1/8th.

With both of them coming off the same rear-of-the-pack setup, and both Riley Tucker and Bold Start giving way so badly it really makes it look like Finallymadeit probably ran a better race than either of the top two. I hated Finallymaeit and tossed him, but there is definitely a question of whether I lucked into a couple pick3s with Gold Trippi. I'm not sure who of the three would win in a fairly run race, but it isn't out of the question to say Finallymadeit, and that pretty much tells you where the quality of the race(and Pyro) was.

Guess it sucks that Finallymadeit probably ran better than Pyro, because you have the sports illustrated Pyro edition commemorative pennant?

It sucks for me because I tossed Finallymadeit and he arguably ran best.

That guy Mike Pletcher sent with him (on the left) shows the barn is not giving him the respect he deserves. He needs a new trainer for a few wins.

i thought pyro ran fine for 7 furlongs. i loved finallymadeit and pyro costs me the excacta. i knew i had the speed but bold start and riley tucker ran him down early. pyro ran way better than i thought he would at a short distance and had a tough trip. why would anyone give up on him? he came back to the races fine.

Your twitter rant about Bulls and Bears is so far from reality.
He was far and away the best looking maiden to run at Belmont, and was clearly the horse to beat yesterday.
Not to mention that he also ran the best race.

Had the exata cold and $ WPS on GT.

Pyro has alot of back class and I figured him in. His ankles look a bit thick, and it was HOT at the time of the race. Not too bad for 9 mo lay off.

Hope they take care of him, he really is grand looking horse.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and I am certainly not trying to change yours. You brought up the Bulls and Bears tip out of the blue from my twitter page, and you called it a "rant" and "far from reality".

My opinion is that I was not impressed by Bulls and Bears maiden, which was also the only race of his life. He had a dream setup behind horses who shot their wad very prematurely. Then to help him even more he got to wait behind those helpless rivals and didn't get clear until relatively late.

Whoops. He needs a new new trainer. But I'm still about 100% certain that is Pletcher's guy Mike walking him. I would bet on it. Maybe he left TP for the Sheik?

Still a fan, and I have to say that he ran much better than I thought he would with that big of a layoff. Keep him at shorter distances (up to a mile) and spot him well and you can take down some graded stakes against this less than stellar crop of the older handicap division.

possibly... or maybe he just was helping out Rick Mattee since Bin Suroor doesn't actually ever show up?
