Sad as the situation was the horses that died received a more humane death than what was in store for them. I can't fathom the mindset or mentality of a person sending their horse to slaughter, it just doesn't ilicit a rational reason to me. I know horses are exspensive, I own 7 of them, but Euthanasia is affordable and theres no amount of money that can clear your conscience.

I agree with you, but unfortunately, a lot of owners aren't like you and me

Thank you for posting this.
It is so sad, the poor babies.
The only blessing here, if you
want to call it that, is
that they did not have to
endure the fate that was
intended for them.I wish that
more owners would be responsible
for their horses. I don't know
if maybe they breed too many
horses? The expectations are too
great? Maybe it is all about
money? Greed? I know it is a game
and it's about profit but, I wish
things would change for the better.
This is just my opinion, I don't want
to offend anyone,I am not an owner
or anything, I guess I am just an
old softy.
The ones that did make it,may
they all find loving permanent homes.
The ones that died, May they RIP
and Fly wih the Angels.

thanks for posting this link, ive been trying to find a good place to donate too. I figured would be the perfect place given that disaster. The only positive out of this is that many of the horses who were to be slaughtered will now hopefully live long happy lives.
