Default Another juvi to watch

horse looked good today. A Dermot Weld, Moyglare Stud farm colt ~CAPITAL EXPOSURE - Danzig - Suitably Discreet (Mr. Prospector). He won a decent 7f maiden at Leopardstown beating some well regarded rivals. Weld said that he could make into a decent 10-12f horse next year and should contest the Beresford Stakes (G2). Last time Weld had a decent horse in that race was RELAXED GESTURE, who was just touched off by none other than AZAMOUR

Cool

From the Racing Post's maiden winner of the day section::

CAPITAL EXPOSURE (c Danzig – Suitably Discreet by Mr Prospector)

Breeder/Owner: Moyglare Stud Farm
Trainer: Dermot Weld

All eyes were on the blue-blooded Naigani in this maiden, but the son of Storm Cat failed to pick up as Capital Exposure galloped on, and eventually finished third.

This was a good performance by Capital Exposure who was always in command in the straight to win quite easily.

Capital Exposure is the second foal andfirst winner out of Suitably Discreet, a regally bred daughter of Mr Prospector. The unraced mare is the second foal out of the top-class filly Alywow, and therefore a half-sister to the high-class pair Century City and Hidden Cat.

As a son of Danzig,Century City is very closely related to Capital Exposure. A smart two-year-old for Aidan O’Brien, Century City improved at three to win the Group 3 Tetrarch Stakes and to run second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Transferred to the US, Century City’s best win came in the Listed Turf Paradise Breeder’s Cup Handicap, but he also ran some gutsy races in defeat, notably when third in the Breeder’s Cup Mile. He now stands at Wintergreen Stallion Station in Kentucky for $7,500 and his first crop are yearlings.

Hidden Cat, by Storm Cat, was also highly talented. The filly won four times during her racing career in the US including the Listed Twixtslusive Handicap at four years.

Winner of the Grade 3 Nijana Stakes, Alywow was also placed in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational Handicap and the Grade 1 Rothman’s International. By the outstanding US performer Alysheba, Alywow was out of the tough Grade 3-winning mare Triple Wow.

Suitably Discreet has a yearling colt by Danzig, a filly foal by Giant’s Causeway and visited Hennessy this year.
