Frustrating! Time for ONE replay right now and on the NZ racing site if you click on R8 @ Awapuni vid you get the Gallagher Marton Cup, which was actually the 6th (and yes I did try reversing it and playing r6 which is also r6). Really wanted to see Iamishwara's 2nd in the Waikato Stud. Will try again later but ugh!!!!!

Annoying! But I think I know what happened there - they had some issues with the track early in the afternoon and delayed the races significantly. I think race six ended up being at the time race eight was meant to be!

Thanks for explaining as you are probably right! Still not fixed but someday...

In the meantime it's awesome to see the noms for the Telegraph and the Levin Classic (!).

Yeah, really looking forward to both races. It will be interesting to see Soubrettes face her first G1 test in the Telegraph.

Ed how is Bounding? I haven't seen a thing since she had to be scratched from the Railway... any update?

Can't wait to see the final fields and I do hope Tomorrowland draws well (although there are, of course, about ten I'd be happy if they won. ).

By the way... Bella Court looked really good! Took me a while to catch up but had to mention that as I know we'll be hearing that name a LOT.

Bounding is out for a little while, probably about March:

Bella Court was amazing! She didn't know what she was meant to be doing but was still way too good for them that day. I hope she goes well in the Million.

Thanks for that... not sure how I missed it!

Liked your Wolfwhistle piece!

Well I am thrilled I just got to watch Iamishwaras race (I should call it Mighty Solomon's race I suppose and yes.. a very nice win for him, wasn't it?).

Just saw the fields for Saturday... can't wait!

The Telegraph is such an exciting race. It's one of the most even fields I've seen for that race.

I think the Levin Classic is possibly a little bit disappointing. It's a G1, but it's looking like the Karaka Mile will have a better field next week even though it's Listed and has half the prize money! Volkstok'n'barrell, Rockfast, Stratocaster, Tavy...

Updated Derby top 10:

1. Volkstok'n'barrell
2. McQueen - I really loved that Ellerslie win last Saturday, so he moves up.
3. Rockfast
4. Tavy
5. Kolonel Kev
6. Margin Trader
7. Stratocaster
8. Sound Proposition
9. Midnitemagicman
10. Mongolian Khan

I do see what you mean (and I always like the races with the older horses the best anyway) but even with a small field am looking forward to seeing Sardaaj, who I like so much now, face off against Huka Eagle and Prince Mambo.

I still have to catch up on Abbey Road... on a lot of them!

Thanks for the updated list and the probable for the Karaka Mile which looks sensational!

Re the Telegraph... hard to root against Fix and Ruud Awakening and I would be thrilled to see Durham Town win (or In Style, Natuzzi or Ginner Hart) but I think I might have to actually play Tomorrowland and break my no-betting-New-Zealand (cause why spoil my favorite racing) mentality thing.

Who is the favorite in that race?

Good luck to Wattle Bay, Carlotta, Survived and Lucky Feather at Te Rapa and to Dillinger (I went back and watched his four wins for absolutely no reason) at Gore (not that I know where that is but I like him... hard trying guy). Go get that 5th win!

(edit - Oh and yeah... McQueen!).

Everything else aside, I find this bizarre!

(... and yes, I'd have thought In Style would be at shorter odds after the Railway!).

Sorry to see both Touche and Gig scratched.

I think I will play a couple tonight (but must make myself stay away form the 8th cause what do I do with Iamishwara and Antonio in the same race?).

R6, Endeavour

R7, the Levin Classic, Sardaaj to win (unless she is at no odds...not sure who the favorite is here!) and will box her with Prince Mambo and Huka Eagle

... and of course Tomorrowland to win the Telegraph. I was thnking of using In Style in the 2nd spot but oh... sentiment gets the best of me and better for me to do a win bet and walk away than to use all underneath).

Good luck, ed.

Sardaaj is a very hot favourite for the Levin Classic - currently 2.20.

I think she wins, but I am keeping an eye on Gaultier (current odds 26). His trainer has always liked him as a Derby horse, and she said he's been gelded since his last race and she thinks he'll be more comfortable in his races and will run better. I'm interested to see how he goes.

Good luck!

I changed my mind again and decided to just do a single win bet - leaving it at that.
