Bob Baffert is tweeting that he loves his first-time-starter at Santa Anita today in race #3.
This horse shared the bullet of session #3 of the OBS April Sale last year. Initially a $17,000 October yearling ... this horse sold for a session best $450,000 just six months later. Ideally, someone like Amy Tarrant would buy it, train it, try to dull its speed in the morning, and it would get well under the radar at 15/1 or so at Monmouth Park on debut. Instead, naturally... Baffert gets it, and tweets about it on a day when he's running 3 in the Santa Anita Derby. Probably will be odds-on now.
