Happy Sydney Cup day!
Just had the first look at Randwick tonight... R2...Crazy odds on both Diamond Earth (10/1) and Silk Pins (20/1, Williams up). Good luck to Xanadu in the 3rd. Don't think anyone beats Its a Dundeel (soooo many in that one that I like like Zurella, Silent Achiever, GH,, etc., but none of them will do it). One of two locks of the night. Chalky couple of races with him and then Guelph in the following race. In the Sydney Cup... Have been let down by Niwot too many times (except for when he won it last year which I, of course, didn't play ) now and I'm thinking Blood Brotha might just be able to do it here. He's at 8/1 and that'll go up... he's won at he distance twice... Kelinni is the favorite but I'm not convinced. I DO like Tremec and Julienas and might use these two with Blood Brotha in the top spot with Maluckyday added in underneath in one tri but yeah... thinking of taking a shot wqith BB here. In the All Aged (can't wait!)...using More Joyous in the top spot and yeah I know, I know, All Too Hard BUT we shall see. I think she beats him. More Joyous / All Too Hard / Epaulette, Fiorente, Rolling Pin with my favorite horse running tonight, Rangirangdoo, tossed into the 4th spot. Why Hot Snitzel isn't the first choice is ridiculous... he's the other lock of the night. (Safe trip home, Firebolt). Anyone else gonna play tonight? Good luck. |

Rand 4, will try a super 6,9/6,9/1,2,7/1,2,7. Never know, Rodd on its a dundeel, maybe the horse wont like him as much as Mcdonald, slows him down a hair, #6 catches him at the wire.

I"d be happy to have broken even! I SUCKED. Thanks Guelph for the win. That was about it.
Reliable Man wins then breaks down http://www.racingandsports.com.au/ra...asp?NID=275642 He is still among us. ... and then there is this. Singleton and Waterhouse dispute spills over into RNSW stewards' room 27 Apr 2013 | By Rob Burnet (excerpt): A dispute between owner and breeder John Singleton and trainer Gai Waterhouse over the running of More Joyous (NZ) in the Group 1 All Ages Stakes at Randwick on Saturday spilled over into the stewards’ room. The mare finished seventh of eight in the field. Singleton said on TV that he had been told by a friend, allegedly an ex-Group 1 jockey, that More Joyous was sore and should not have run in the race and that bookmaker Tom Waterhouse, son of Gai, had told friends that the mare was not right to race. http://www.thoroughbrednews.com.au/s....aspx?id=66250 |
