Since Green Birdie obviously is no longer going to Japan for the Takamatsunomiya Kinen and since the final late entry stage (US $200,000) ends tomorrow looks like it's four geldings of the apocalypse instead of three.
Prebble has the mount. |

The Dubai Golden Shaheen is going to have a ton of pace - no doubting that. Expect Kinsale King to settle off the lead and try to get first run...the Hong Kong horse, Sunny King could have a real chance at a price given his ability to run on from the tail. Keep that in the back of your minds.

Hoping to have more video and maybe even some better questions similar to this one as it appears from Sunday night in Abu Dhabi.

Loved that... I love Doug Watson and although Force Freeze never seems to win for me I wish the two of them well.
Very cool video... can't wait to see more. For anyone who cares it looks like Jamie Spencer has the mount on Alexander Pope and Ryan Moore has Master Of Hounds (in the Derby). |

I liked Bold Silvano quite a bit but am glad to see Golden Sword back in the fray.
As Pat will certainly discuss on his site leading up to the big night, it would be a terrific story for any of the Japanese entrants to take the top prize. Buena Vista's exploits speak for themselves and she will be plenty tough. Transcend is no slouch either. The only throwouts at this point for me in the World Cup are: Fly Down - Synthetics will be an issue and I doubt he's good enough. Gio Ponti - This is just too much off the bench. Monterosso - Belongs in the Sheema Classic. Prince Bishop - If I give a Godolphin horse a chance it's Poet's Voice. Richard's Kid - Not good enough. |

On Bold Silvano (already mentioned by Pat)...
http://gulfnews.com/sport/horse-raci...njury-1.780667 Darren Beadman was cleared of any fracture so he should be good to go (the incident at Sha Tin the other day prior to the start of R2)... Last edited by my miss storm cat : 03-21-2011 at 02:42 PM. |

With the defection of Snow Fairy Ryan is once again riding King Dancer. He only went halfway around the world to ride him in the HK Gold Cup (he was 2nd).
A fun read... Tuesday trackwork notes... http://www.thoroughbrednews.com.au/i....aspx?id=52099 Quote:
Glad that Mosse has the mount. He did on that last win but I mean it took Sunny 13 or 14 races to get a win. Of the 4 of them I'd say Green Birdie (Prebble) has the best chance followed by Dynamic Blitz (Doleuze). Felix has the Rocket Man mount. Worth mentioning! For anyone who needs reminding his record is 13 wins, 4 2nd place finishes from 17. |
