I like Bluegrass Cat and Deputy Glitters in this race. This could be the slowest Belmont in history. There are tons of betting angles one could take. I also think this is going to be a great betting race.

Deputy Glitters, with Prado up, is taking waaaaaay too much publicity and his odds will probably go from 15/1 (where they should be) down to 8/1 or so. Damn, was hoping to get a real nice price on him. But, oh well, we are more than a week and a half away from the race and with more possible defections and additions we shall have to wait and see. The deep closers, Steppenwolfer, Jazil, et al, received good news when West Point's High Finance, never beyond one mile and a confirmed pacesetter, threw his hat into the mix.

I do not see that Deputy Glitters has ever raced on the poly.
He has burned me in his last two races and wont get any more money from me!

Default Beyers and Belmont

Belmont questions ...Is the 100 Beyer for Sunriver legit? Seems a bit low.

High Finance ..Looks like he may like Belmont. Earning a 101 Beyer in his last race. His 101 looks a little low. I'm beginning to have some doubts about Beyer.

Should the Beyers be taken into consideration when handicapping this race?

Beyers like everything else is a tool to help you handicapp a race. Race replays, knowledge of recent works - (Oracle and I can tell you how important watching the works are AKA Sunriver) - how does the horse look in the paddock and in the post parade. I put little emphasis on beyers but I do look at them to see if I can find a pattern.

Kona, with the Belmont, I tend to rely more heavily on dosage points and distance pedigree than the other triple crown races. I think that the Beyers should be taken into consideration (as always), but I would pay closer attention to pedigree than beyer's in this instance. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
