Looks to me like Maraahel's best shot of getting that elusive Group 1. Hope he does it.

God I hope so... love him (and Cato) to death but it would be great to see him get a G1.

He's had such a good year... i think it'll happen.

Still can't get away from Multidimensional in this.

If Creachadoir could prove he stayed this distance fully, he's be in with a good shout, too.

Value is with Multidimensional though. He comes here as a fresh horse. He has won on good to firm and soft. We know he stays 10 furlongs and he is in very good form.

Notnowcato to chase him home.

I'm hoping Mullins Bay can hit the board somewhere.....

Don't think he has much of a chance. What do you all think?

(By the way, I'm not completely insane here and I am talking about being 3rd.....)

Literato beats Eagle Mountain, both well clear of Doctor Dino who was in turn clear of the rest...
just to note that the owner of Literato is the French Minister of Defence!!!

Couldn't believe Notnowcato was sent off such a short price when he was terrible in this last year, and not much better this year.

Disappointed with Multidimensional, but he is still inexperienced at this level. Haven't lost faith in him.

From RP......

Eagle flies O'Brien nest to join Mike De Kock

by Paul Eacott

EAGLE MOUNTAIN filled the silver medal position in a Group 1 race for the second time in his three-year-old career on Saturday on what proved to be his final start for Aidan O'Brien.

After the son of Rock Of Gibraltar had gone down by short head behind Literato in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, O'Brien revealed that he had been sold and will now join Mike De Kock.

The Derby runner-up had not been seen since winning a Group 2 at the Curragh in mid-August, and O'Brien was delighted with his returning effort.

He said: “Eagle Mountain ran a stormer. He is a horse that will improve for his first run back after a break and I think he is a horse who will improve again.

“The horse is sold, to Mike De Kock, and I wish him every success with the horse. He bought Mullins Bay from us as well.”

Eagle Mountain finished third behind stablemate Solider Of Fortune when 6-4 favourite for the Irish Derby off the back of his Epsom run, and was fifth in the Stan James 2,000 Guineas on his seasonal return, having won two from six starts as a juvenile.
