Default Curlin in race #5 at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday!

Curlin is in race #5 on Thursday at Nad Al Sheba in Dubai. He will be listed as #1 for wagering purposes (Global pools), but has drawn post 2 in a field of six.
The race is set for 12:15PM EASTERN TIME and can be seen on HRTV, and Capital OTB-TV and other simulcast outlets.
Tough to fill this race from the Carnival condition book with the worlds highest rated dirt horse entered, but five will line up with him. All have 53kg (116lbs), except Curlin who will carry 60kg (132lbs) as set by the conditions.
Can' wait for Thursday, and a very good card of racing for the ninth night of the Dubai International Racing Carnival.

You need to go to the race card...

Kandidate, Dynamic Saint, etc. are out and (hopefully) pointed to the real preps.

hopefully Churchill gets the PPs up, although its not so bad just reviewing video on 5 entries...

probably not the value race of the card, but i need to get seriously motivated (or see the PPs) if i am going to go after the card.

engrupido seems to be decent, but he is back in 6 days and supposedly they don't use "juice" over there, familiar territory comes in with a little form.

I like the weight assignments. I had totally forgotten what a handicap race was.

Will be interesting to see since we think weight doesn't mean much over here and you guys think it is incredibly significant. By our mind there's no way he loses here.

A public workout, wins by about 3 and was never asked. I believe 1/5 was the final odds.

He got a race(if you can call it that) over a track that he will be running on for alot of money, but it looks like the connections got an easy paycheck.

I don't think it's boring when our best horse goes to the racetrack......regardless of where he's racing or who he's racing against. It would have been nice, at least for me, if I could have seen it.

I agree, Andy. Always nice to hear that our best horse WINS.

So, I'm looking at Youbet and it shows the place (2nd/3rd finishers) payouts for Familiar Territory at $9.40 and Jet Express at $81.40.

That's a pretty nice couple of pays, especially for Familiar Territory who went off at 7/2.
