Cal828, believe it or not, that horse just took care of my Christmas shopping for my wife.

I believe it. At first I thought, well there's a $1700 hit, then I thought, I'm wrong, that was a $3500 hit. Very well played. Had to know there was too much early foot in that race. I thought that horse that ran 3rd might win it, but he fizzled at the end. We might as well start over. We'll all be chasing you for the rest of the contest, with little chance of catching you.

Very nicely done Roamin. We'll all be in chase mode for the rest of the year.
Enjoy your Christmas shopping courtesy of Largent. Doesn't it give you a great feeling when that happens. I've got to make a confession - was playing in Sport of Kings' Race of the Day contest yesterday and needed a price horse to get into the top 10 for the week. The contest race for the day was the Ft. Lauderdale, and I was "eenie-meenie" between Doswell and Largent. Finally picked Doswell after lots of deliberation. Naturally the top positions for the week so far all went with Largent and since today's contest race, the Bay Ridge, scratched down to a field of only 4, the contest is pretty much over. |

Joly B, I got a bigger confession, early in the week I got on Sport of Kings also, I did not use the form and I just went and picked for that race. I bet Largent in TVG but forgot all about Sport of kings. I picked Delaware in that race on Wednesday. A Big Boo Boo. At least I can go to Monmouth and cash in my winnings. I moved last year and now live 3 miles from there.

Sport of Kings?
What is it? Is that a handicapping game through one of the ADWs or tracks?

I just finished playing in the Race of the Day finals, for which you had to qualify by finishing in the weekly top 20 of a race of the day contest for the period between early September and early December. Around 350 people were competing. Here's a link: sportofkings.net I think that it would appeal to your approach to handicapping. After you have looked at the site, I'd be glad to try to answer any questions you might have. |

Registered for it. Took me awhile. Horse racing sites don't seem to want to deal with yahoo mail for some reason. I have a gmail account, but so long since I used it, had to reset password. Haven't played PH for a long time. When do they let you have the PPs for whatever race they choose?

PP's are usually available a couple of days in advance; the only exception is for the Monday race since on Sunday night they are finishing up one week before they post for the next week's contest. As a general rule they try to use the race that is DRF's race of the day - if DRF offers formulators you get them; if not you get the regular DRF pp's. I'm sure that you saw the button at the top of the page that says "Free Past Performances". This is very different from the old PH. However the same people who hosted PH in the past are involved in this project. Hope that you have fun with this. From what I've seen over the past couple of months, you need to hit some price plays to do well. |

Only a $1790.00 return (50 tickets) but still the biggest hit in two years.

Sorry, I think I confused the odds which I though were 35 to one with the payoff and that's why you are the score keeper and I am not. Well, that's good. Should be easy to overtake him now.
