ROMA PEGASUS began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall, then due to the slow tempo in the early stages proved difficult to settle and near the 1400 Metres was checked away from the heels of MORE BOUNTIFUL which was also proving difficult to settle. When ROMA PEGASUS was checked, it shifted in and caused crowding on its inside to LEGEND OF COLOUR. Shortly after this, MORE BOUNTIFUL, which was continuing to over-race, shifted out and bumped SLEEP WELL which in turn caused ABOVE ALL to be steadied and carried wider. In the Straight, THUMBS UP hung in, near the 300 Metres shifted ground and raced tight outside LEGEND OF COLOUR, then near the 200 Metres got its head on the side and shifted in behind LEGEND OF COLOUR as that horse shifted out. BEAUTY FOREVER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY FOREVER after the race did not show any significant findings. A very good race by Viva Pataca, I thought he raced without cover for the most part but it didn't really matter, in the end he showed his class.
Green Birdie in the Chairman's sprint was very unlucky, he was making a move up the rail and was stopped cold, otherwise he looked like he was getting up in time.
