Default ROI Results 4/17 @ Oaklawn

Oaklawn on Saturday turned out to be a track that gave out a slew of winners and as a group we
doubled our money. I had to work as there were 9 winning bets made and all four payout slots were
filled. Cal and Cruzan cashed tickets but missed the board. Digger takes fourth place with his $100
wager in race 5 crossing the line first. Don was the only player to jump on Letruska in the ROI and
when she nosed out Monomoy Girl DG got back a sweet $316. Nice call Don. Indian Hemp takes
the number two spot with a win bet on Silver State in the co feature. Silver State rallied from next
to last to win the Oaklawn Handicap and give IH a return of $285 in his bid for a repeat ROI win.
That bid lasted until the finale when Plenilune whooshed by the field like we were standing still.
Plen had $50 to win on Skamania in the 12th race and when the win price of $40.40 was flashed
Plenilune collected $1010 for her wager. But that was only the topping on the cake. Plenilune
also had Wicked Street in the 6th for another $230. Nobody is hotter than Plenilune right now in
the ROI. In addition to a season high 4 wins she now has a $1200 lead in the ROI over Roamin,
Real Quiet and Digger. Congrats on your big day Jane. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial
results pending any inquiries. And to the best of my knowledge second and third place are correct.
See you all next week at the venue of Cal's choice. Oaklawn has been good to us.

RQ, maybe my old brain is turning to oatmeal but not sure I understand IH's total of $207.50. Isn't his total $285? If it is 207.50??? and mine is 216, we need to flip th e spots around. Please clue me in on this before my brain turns to cream of wheat. Thanks much!!!

It rarely ever happens but due to the fact IH only wagered $77.50 his ROI was the second highest on the day. Amount collected divided by amount bet is how the ROI is calculated. That's how I keep track of the season total ROI but if you want to go profits on the day that's ok too.

Ahhhh, I was "thinking" that might have been the case. Thanks RQ. My brain is preserved from becoming cream of wheat.
