Not a suggestion but PARX on Saturday is Turning For Home Day. It's a day that celebrates the stellar racehorse retirement program that finds homes for their horses when they are done with the racetrack. PARX takes care of their race horses.

I don't envy you the choice, Don Guido. Not a lot to choose from. I'm not sure about Kamloops, but I do know that Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg has racing this Saturday at 7:15 local time. It is a small place but there are those who love it.

Isn't it a pity that for logistical reasons we probably can't use the venue with the absolute best racing on Saturday, namely Royal Ascot. The feature race is the Diamond Jubilee S., a Breeders' Cup win and you're in race.

One of the advantages of these Saturdays with no major stakes races is that our small group can venture to some venue that we would otherwise never visit. So, whatever place you pick, just say the word and I'll be there and ready to go.

Yes, I was thinking of Royal Ascot also but . . . . ? And it's always grand when the Queen has a horse that wins ala when Call to Mind (By Galileo no less) won the turf 2 mile 400K Belmont Gold Cup June 8 and the credits read:

Breeder: The Queen
Winning Owner: Her Majesty, The Queen

NOW THAT IS HIGH COTTON!!!

I'll scratch my head a little more and then get out the dart board or the Ouija Board.
