Default Sunday Stupidity

Belmont 2nd

Winner carries out the runner up 5-6 paths, while whipping left handed. Stewards look at it for 10 minutes...no change.

I have no idea what is or isn't a DQ anymore and I've bet this sport almost daily for about 25 years. If I don't know what a DQ is what chance to newbies have?

Nice effort by Jose Ortiz in the 4th. I bet the 4, but had I bet the 10 I'd be pretty pissed about his total lack of effort early and late.

Yeah not to redboard but I had $50 win on the 2 and a $5 tri if they swap the 2 and 1 there.

I'd also be alive to the 1,8 in the pick 4.

Oh and I bet the 10 to win last race.

Sunday stupidity indeed.

I actually didn't think they'd make the change in the 2nd for what it's worth. I was surprised at how confident Andy and Mig seemed that they would make the change (I was only half listening so hope I'm not mischaracterizing what they said)...I watched the head on once and said to those I'm with "they should make the change but without a hard bump I doubt they do" Not sure why, when you carry a horse (especially one that seemed to stick it's nose in front) out that many paths, straighten out then go left handed and carry out some more, that it's not an obvious and easy decision of course...only thing that made me think they were going to make the change was how long the inquiry was up. Frustrating sport.

I guess since I'm here, playing Santa Anita Pick 5 starting race 1: 1,7,9,11/1,3,7,9/2,3,5/2,3,5/2 $72

Thought Rosario and Irad were puzzling at times from Friday-Sunday. They both won some races and had some OK rides but not their best weekend to me.

Some plays I am making to close out the weekend:

Santa Anita 7) $15 ex box 9,11
$5 tri box 5,9,11
$1 pick 4 5,9,11/1,2,3,4,8,10/4,7/4

I bet a few bucks on the 6 in the 7th. Sums up my entire weekend. Not sure who Emily Ellingwood is but I hope she has plans for a backup career.

Absolutely brutal. Curious what you saw in that one? I didn't see it at all pre-race...was a good call despite the brutal beat.

Tough day for me, beyond what was discussed my opinions have been **** outside of Search Results. Last chance to make it up in the Golden Hour Double: $5 4,7/2,4,6/4,7/2,5

I wish I had some real reason. Same trainer popped with a firster last year and he trains for Marsha Naify. Field looked awful Was almost right.

I wasn't even smart enough to bet a small exacta with the favorite.
