Laverock third.

Mariotto broke down they had another one today at Lingfield (although not as bad as Mariotto)

I'm not sure if they had to be put down or not.

DISCREET CAT ENTERED FOR BREEDERS' CUP
17 October 2007

Godolphin's Discreet Cat is one of 11 entries for the new US$1-million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, which is run at Monmouth Park, New Jersey, USA, on Friday, October 26.

The four-year-old, who is an intended runner if all goes well between now and then, would take on horses such as Diamond Stripes, Corinthian and High Finance.

The other Godolphin entry for a Breeders' Cup race, the progressive two-year-old Ibn Khaldun, is one of 23 put in the US$1-million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, run over a mile on October 26.

He also holds an entry in the Group One Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster, England, on Saturday, October 27. No decision has been made yet about which race Ibn Khaldun goes for.

Saw you post this in the paddock.

It doesn't sound good for the little, fragile kitten.

I have a side note for you as concerning this,The Two main 2 year old races for the season over here have been won by Exceedingly Good & Sugar Babe both come from the same 1st crop Danehill Stallion Exceed & Excel Owned by Darley & stands at $55,000 ( though not for long now im afraid ) if they had banned danehill this stallion wouldnt exsist on their roster you would think,
My Mare got served today by another Darley stallion called Gonski & yes he's another Danehill

This is why it is ridiculous. They refuse to buy any yearlings by Coolmore stallions, but then they go and pay millions for a stallion prospect by a Coolmore stallion. All they are doing is delaying the buying and spending a lot more money by doing so.

AT LAST!

After the last few years of almost everyone in racing saying that Godolphin couldn't deal with the size of the operation, it was reported in the Racing Post today that they are to cut down on the amount of horses in their 'care'. However, this also mean that a number of work riders will have to be laid off (not that they even needed that many with even 300 horses in training).

I just hope my mate doesn't come home from Barbados to find a letter through the post. He has chosen a bad time to go on holiday by the looks of it.
