Hard to like Social Inclusion in that spot, though he seems like a really nice horse.

Can Ride on Curlin get a better setup than he did today? If you betting him your betting the distance moves him up.

Social Inclusion belongs in the Met Mile, not the Belmont Stakes on June 7th.

While I don't by any means think he is THE horse to beat CC, I have to include among those with a chance. He ran very well in his past two races without getting what would be an optimal trip for him. If he's allowed loose on the lead in the Belmont, he's very dangerous. If CC is used a bit to keep up with him, than it helps the chances of the closers late. Win or lose, SI could be a big factor if entered.

I like the out-of-the-box thinking, but Palace Malice would chew him up and spit him out at this point in their careers.

I hope your right, but he was the only one closing on him in the Derby and he will have more ground to do it in the Belmont. Just a thought and will have 3 weeks to toss things around in my noodle

Shocking!

It is safe to say that no Pletcher horse will ever be a threat to win the Triple Crown.

My tweets, (and some re-tweets of Welsch), from workout session this morning..

Steve Byk @Steve_Byk Tonalist & Life in Shambles 5f together for @clementstable @ 1:00.0 on various watches. Belmont starter good. Easy Goer starter very good.

Steve Byk @Steve_Byk Idyllic lead to Crown try peaks for California Chrome in :47.3 work (Outs :59.4, 1:12.4, 1:26.1, 1:40.0). Couldn't have gone easier, looked better. & Cal Chrome came through stretch - with wind at his back - to cheers from the 250+ that turned out. Fun atmosphere of anticipation @TheNYRA.

Steve Byk @Steve_Byk Waiting on Social Inclusion splits but Wood/Preakness show pony was going at a serious clip..

Mike Welsch @DRFWelsch Watches still cooling down after Social Inclusion goes 1/2 from 3/8's pole in :45.13(:33.44 opening 3F), out :57.57, 1:10.93. & Main track obviously lightning fast this a.m. Decision on Social Inclusion's Belmont status pending.

Mike Welsch @DRFWelsch Samraat breezes easy mile over dullish Aqueduct main in 147.43 dragged rider around to 1/4 pole came home in 24.49 out another 1/8 in 12.17.
