The Eagles D has been as strong as any this decade. Bears/Birds/Ravens/Pats would be in my catagory for best defenses in the 00's.

It was not a talentless team that McNabb somehow made amazing. A very strong O-line (save this year minus Shawn Andrews) and arguably the best RB in the league along with LT (westbrook of course). Wide Recievers was pretty much our only weak spot.

I always used to back McNabb and say we need to give him more TO's and he'll be amazing - but since the superbowl my opinion of McNabb keeps getting lower and lower.

Have you ever watched him play an entire season? I watch probably 15 Eagles regular season games per year. Not just the random times they play MNF like you probably do. Half of the year McNabb's passes hit the ground 5 ft infront of the WR or the ball soars 10 feet about the WR's head. Cant blame that on lack of talent at the WR position.

Maybe had McNabb had the talent at WR from the start, things could have been different for his mentality and confidence... but McNabb's head is done for in Philly and its time for both parties to move on.
The one year Mcnabb had a full season with a real WR he throws for 31 td's 8 picks almost 4k yards and goes to the superbowl.

Oklahoma is going to make short work of Oklahoma St. They will move up to #2 in the BS poll. Florida is going to crush Alabama. The margin will be at least 20 points. So that will move the Gators up to #2 and Oklahoma to #1 and that is your title game.

and during the fourth quarter.... what happened??

Like you said he choked on his chunky soup and threw up and threw INT's. T.O. was pretty accurate on his assesment of McNabb (still a pompous jerk tho). Its not like they lost by a ton and had no chance of beating the Pats. They could have won that game no doubt.

Their clock management in the 4th was horrific. Reid's biggest problem. I almost took out an entire row of TV's in Reno with about 4 minutes left and them down by 10 but showing no urgency.

unfortunatly they have that same no urgency factor every single game they are down with a chance still at the end.

You should see McNabb/Reid's record in games decided by 7 pts or less... its is very pathetic. something like 4 times more losses than wins.

I wish there was a choking emoticon.

Who knows? Texas is the team left out. Oklahoma will almost surely pass them up with a win over Oklahoma St. and that would make it:
Alabama
Oklahoma
Texas
Florida

If Florida beats Alabama, that would move Oklahoma to the top and I think it would vault the Gators over the Longhorns. Maybe then it's Texas vs. USC in one of those bowls.

I wouldnt mind seeing texas and usc but ugh it has to be tough for the longhorn fans to have a team with the exact same record as you, and you beat them head to head - be playing for the NC and you are not even in a BSC game.

Hopefully one of those 3 teams loses next week so there is a playoff.

Okay, i have been watching KG attempt to call football games for years. If anything , he has just guaranteed Alabama a national title.

Trust me on this.

Using that logic, how would it be fair for Texas to be playing in the championship game and Texas Tech to not be? Tech beat the Longhorns head-to-head.

The Longhorns will be playing in a BCS game though. Just not in the title game. If one of the three (Oklahoma, Texas, Tech) loses next week, there won't be a playoff. The winner will be decided by head-to-head. Texas has to hope for Tech to lose because if Oklahoma loses and the other two win, Texas is still left out of the Big-12 title game.

What if Texas scores 80 against A&m, Ok st beats Ok and FSU beats FL then Fl beats Alabama? Is the NC Texas and USC again? Or Ohio State vs Ball State?

But Texas and Oklahoma lost close games while Tech got thrashed. All things being equal Tech has no say in the matter because of the way they lost. The only thing more stupid than the BCS is the grading system in tbred racing.

If OSU beat Oklahoma and Florida loses to FSU before beating Alabama, Texas could beat A&M 2-0 and would still be in the title game against USC (assuming USC beats Notre Dame and UCLA).

What about if Oklahoma loses to OSU, FSU beats Florida, Florida beats Alabama, and Missouri beat Texas in the Big-12 championship game?

USC vs. Utah.
