A quick summary in case you missed any of this.

Boldruler on Bernardini;

“He is in a league all by himself”
“He is the best in a long long time”
“He is better than Ghostzapper and Pleasantly Perfect”
“I think this one might be better than GZ.”
”you can't breed a better horse. It is impossible.”
“This is a horse that can run in the 120's (beyers) whenever he wants”
“Secretariat's track record at 10F at Churchill is in serious jeopardy this fall.”
“Expect a sub 2M and a stakes record in the Travers too.”
“Bernardini is a man among boys”
“He is just better than everyone out there. A lot better.”
“this might be the best horse in decades.”
“There isn't a horse since Secretariat that can beat that horse by 4.”
“He is the best horse in 40+ years. No doubt in my mind.”

And a few thoughts on Showing Up;

“Showing Up will mop up English Channel.”
“He is becoming a monster.”
“They are already talking about the trip over for next years Arc.”

Its called delusions of grandeur.
Tell you one thing, I wasn't real impressed with the training job that Albertrani put into Songster today, the horse was dead short. The reason that Coolmore has outperformed The Sheikhs so badly all these years is that they use guys like Todd pletcher and Aidan O Brien. Those guys wouldnt have sent out a short horse like Albertrani did today. No excuses on the ride or anything else, the man sent out a short horse at 1-9, disgraceful.

I believe every bit of it except the Showing Up mopping up English Channel. That was trash talk with the EC guys. Showing Up is becoming a monster, although I haven't seen him since he left for Saratoga. I doubt he is good enough to beat the older horses, and he is no Barbaro. Sweetnorthernsaint is still my favorite 3yr old. They are talking about the Arc with him for next year. The Jacksons would like to take a horse to Europe and Showing Up is going to be a turf sire so it makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Go Between beat Showing Up.

As for Bernardini, I wasn't sure what to think until Saturday. Here I go point by point.

“He is in a league all by himself” (He is, nobody can beat him)
“He is the best in a long long time” (He is, you will see)
“He is better than Ghostzapper and Pleasantly Perfect” (No doubt, remember he is just a 3yr old and getting better, I can't imagine how good he will be by BC Classic time- remember he is an AP Indy)
“I think this one might be better than GZ.” (No doubt, GZ didn't race enough to be considered great, this horse races.
”you can't breed a better horse. It is impossible.” (Absolutely 100%, stand by that statement)
“This is a horse that can run in the 120's (beyers) whenever he wants” (He can, considering he ran a 114 in a workout)
“Secretariat's track record at 10F at Churchill is in serious jeopardy this fall.” (Yep)
“Expect a sub 2M and a stakes record in the Travers too.” (Yep)
“Bernardini is a man among boys” (Yep)
“He is just better than everyone out there. A lot better.” (Yep)
“this might be the best horse in decades.” (Yep)
“There isn't a horse since Secretariat that can beat that horse by 4.” (Yep)
“He is the best horse in 40+ years. No doubt in my mind.” (Yep)

I believe every bit of it. I am a little biased because I made a small killing this weekend thanks to Ministers Bid getting up for second, but I can honestly say I have never seen a horse as good as Bernardini. Never.

Does this mean that Bold Ruler believes Berbardini is superior to the following horses (to name a few off the top of my head)?

Kelso
Dr Fager
Damascus
Buckpasser
Secretariat
Forego
Seattle Slew
Affirmed
Spectacular Bid
John Henry
Holy Bull
Cigar
Skip Away
Tiznow
Point Given
Ghostzapper

yes it does, he is one very sick puppy. He has a Showing Up picture at home as well but it got sticky and is stuck face down on the night stand next to his bed.

He is better than Holy Bull, Cigar, Skip Away, Tiznow, Point Given, GZ, and I can't say for the others because I never really studied them. But I would say on Secretariat and Dr. Fager are as good.

Stop, I am not nearly as big a Showing Up fan as the guy living with me this summer. I am a much bigger Barbaro and Sweetnorthernsaint fan. However, if I remember correctly, you Kip Deville guys shot your mouths off and got smoked. Then Oracle said a good jockey would have given Kip Deville a win by five lengths. Wrong.

So, 1) A guy I respect, Steve, on his radio show said Showing Up was injured and not going to run in the Derby. An honest mistake, but wrong. 2) Oracle attacks Showing Up and gives him no credit for crushing his friends horse.

What am I going to do, just say ok, no big deal. Bash him all you want. I would love to see him do well because of his sire, but I don't honestly believe Showing Up is Barbaro or anything.

I do believe in Bernardini, and I have never met the owner, trainer, anyone connected to the horse. He is just that good.

I guess it is ok to have an orgasm over Circular Quay, a two year old running beyers in the 80's, and declare him the best 2yr old you ever saw, but saying a horse that runs 114 beyers and wins by 9 lengths in a walk, is an all-time great, well that is crazy. LOL.

The issue here is that the Cunningham guy pointed this out well before any of us, and nobody wants to give him credit. There are a few of us who now believe this. Not just me.

Then by all means you should study them. Seattle Slew, Affirmed, Kelso, Spectacular Bid, John Henry, Buckpasser, and Damascus are worth getting to know. They are all horses of somewhat exalted abilities inspite of your not knowing them.

I think they might be better, but Bernardini is in my opinion the best horse I have ever seen. I don't see how anyone even competes with him.

Circular Quay gave some people chills: they've never seen a two year old do things like he did, with his pedigree,he'll run forever..etc...LOL

But so far, no one has responded to our pointing out this hypocrisy, Bold Ruler, so I have to assume that they know they don't have a leg to stand on.

1) Steve made a brief error that he corrected. You made one yourself that had Lansdon about as unhappy with you as you were with Steve when you said he wasn't who he said he was. he was waiting for that phone call to "straighten him out" and it was wise indeed for you not to call.
2)I never said he was the best two year old I ever saw.(CQ) I said he was the best I'd seen at this point in about ten years. So far I haven't seen a better one, although the Lukas horse who won on Saturday after being beaten by Quay looks to be exceptionally talented.
3)Cunningham also pointed out that Lady Of Venice was supposed to be the best three year old grass filly, and that Scat Daddy was supposed to be sensational, I see neither. I give him props on falling in love with Bernadini and agree with him on Henny Hughes.
4)Showing Up will get anilhated if he faces English Channel.

I just don't see how anyone can't see that Bernardini is the best we have seen in a long time. He is a machine. Ministers Bid is not a chump and neither was Sweetnorthernsaint.

1) Like I said, mistakes are made, I have made a ton.
2) Ok, then in 10 yrs, but already you seemed to have found another.
3) Who cares about Scat Daddy (who pletcher still thinks is his #1) and LOV, he pointed out this one as HOY and BC Classic winner a long time ago. Give the guy credit. People give you credit for having a great eye and buying WLA.
4) I don't know what Showing Up will do. I listen to it 24-7 about how he is unbeatable, but I only have 2 more days of that left. I hope he does win the Eclipse because I like Tagg, but I honestly don't believe Showing Up is as good as the older horses. You guys attacked him and I adopting him as my horse to defend. Do you really think I think Rumspringa is going to win the BC Sprint. I saw him that morning and decided to point him out. EC might beat SU, but nobody in America can destroy him. He is too good.

The only reason MB hung on for 2nd was because HK was stuck on the rail and running through all that standing water.

Well those with the exacta cashed. I honestly thought it was a two horse race and I said that here, I thought MB might beat him, but I was wrong about bernardini, he is not beatable.

I sure wouldn't want to speak for Oracle, but I bet he would give him credit if the horse actually wins the BCC and HOTY.

And I will follow suit....

Now if Mayan King gets HOTY, I am going to just start following Nascar or something.

You people are acting like this is an attack on Bernardini, and that he has already won the whole kit-n-kaboodle.

2 races.

I think this stuff is a reaction to the Barbaro incident, with everyone wanting to replace him with "something special."

I didn't hear this last year about Flower Alley, because everyone knew that Afleet Alex could smoke him.

But in my opinion, Bernardini is currently a "Flower Alley 2, electric boogaloo" type of horse.
