The win pool had about as much in it as Scavs blew on trotting races after Kickins first win

She was calm the race before but I thought Rene didn't let her do her thing. Up against it in that one

and tonight....

She had that wall of big ass horses in front of her and didn't feel like it.
Could she be protecting herself?

she has run better against better.

ok, turning the page

I didn't bet her. (The heaviest $2 in racing, ie me, wanted her to win. )

so odds didn't matter to me.

it just seems like 10-1 or 15-1 Dee Tee gets bet down at the windows

are the pools that small?

T.C. is lucky to be alive tonite. She reared up on her hind legs in the saddling stall and nearly killed him. Very difficult to saddle. Definitely agree she didn't like being covered up on the rail in the 2nd turn. She was tucked in behind the leaders but didn't fire. Seemed to be fine after the race. Met three partners for the first time. A fun nite overall. Thanks to Chuck and Steve for the home town start.

Think the outcome would have been different if we get the ride Steve described. The kid did ride a winner (6th) on the nite. Chris got your picture capper zeke.

TC was luck he didn't get hurt bad tonight. KNS made him work hard just to saddle up.
once she was saddled she was fine, blinkers even went on easy.
steve scenario is probably best. she doesn't to like being in traffic on the rail.

Good to meet you guys, man I am tired (been up since 3am). WOW KNS was excited, NICE job by the handlers keeping that situation under control at the paddock and stall.

I wish I could have hung around a little longer after KNS race but I wanted to get home and not have to get a hotel room. Hope everyone makes it home safe and hey those DEE TEE sweatshirts are damn nice you all were wearing.

Maybe she needs a goat.....

I was watching the race on TVG with a neighbor and we were concerned about her placement at the beginning, but then relaxed a bit. As they were coming around the second turn the concern rose again since she was buried on the rail with nowhere to go. We thought he was going to swing her out for her run but she couldn't go out and couldn't go forward.

I hope she enjoys her vacation, I am sure she will be very well cared for. She has been a great addition to the DeeTee stables.

Safe travels to all heading home.

Default Thursday @ Turfway!

"those DEE TEE sweatshirts are damn nice you all were wearing".
"I want one!! How much are they"?

Can't tell you the cost - got mine as a X-mas present last year; Steve is the man with the gear - I have to admit it is pretty sweet looking!!

The night experience @ Turfway was indeed fun! In the house was Benny L, Unstable, ddthetide, 2 minutes to post, LaReason; fun meeting up with these DTer's. KnS was her "normal" self in paddock - quite high strung - TC did again have his hands full; hope his leg/foot is OK today! Agree with Benny and others about getting her to the middle/outside for her run - that seems where she does her best. This experience has been has a blast; with the most fun getting to meet the other owners! So its time for her to get some R & R, appreciate the Chuck Simon crew for all their efforts as well!

I take " a bit lame" as walking with a limp. That exceeds by far my projections for T.C.'s condition this morning. He took one for the team, but did a fantastic job by taking charge and not letting the situation(see AP incident) get out of hand. I owe you one big guy.

I thought the kid's ride was fine. It wasn't a lightning pace as the top two were near the pace all race and the winner hugged the rail the whole trip. You certainly didn't want to be back of the pack in that race. I thought the mid pack rail placement was perfect in all honesty. I didn't know the instructions given to him beforehand obviously...but just watching the race knowing nothing, I felt like he gave her a good ride and she just simply wasn't good enough last night was my impression. Overall I'm happy with her year. The first two Tampa races and first two Arlington races were great. She batted .500 this year!
