Sports fans are extensions of teams, and live their lives vicariously through these teams! Your dreams are what's important....not fulfilling ND's quest for fan adulation! All of the energy you expend might be better served as you complete your studies, looking for the EDGE that will make you better than the other 2mil graduates coming out every year! ....just a thought

I understand what you are saying. All this talk and going back and forth has made me tired. I think my really uncomfortable dorm bed is calling.

Exactly. They showed nothing. My guess is that they are 1-7 going into those last four cupcake games.

Does the school make the schedule?

if it does, then they knew they were going to be bad and they figured why not go into the offseason on a high note. Looks like there is money to be made because the line is always tilted because of ND faithful putting their money on them. Should be interesting.

Scavs, i think alot of time they make the schedule because of the money involved. Anyone looking at this team knew they were not going to be a great team. I'm pretty sure i could have ran for a 120 and a touchdown yesterday against them. It is definitely an ambitious schedule, maybe the toughest in the country.. ND people hate notre dame because they can. It's like why i hate the yankee's. I'm not even a baseball fan but i can't stomach the yankees. It's all about the tradition, the records, and our huge arrogance. That and a lot of people think chuckles is a an idiot....

Default Top 5 Reasons Why Notre Dame Lost

Here we go:

5. They are overhyped again
4. They are overated again
3. They cant make up thier mind who is going to be thier Qb
2. Weiss was out coached again
1. THEY FLAT OUT SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping they would of won to make the Penn State game a little interesting. But as you said IrishofNDman at least your boys didnt get thier @sses handed to them by a 1AA team.

Hope they enjoy thier visit to Happy Valley.

PS I think its awesome that you stand behind your team.

I think the Charlie Weis hype machine can end now. The guy needs to get on that NutriSystem deal with the rest of the retired football lard asses.

It is hard to schedule good teams late in the season because they are all busy playing conference games.

There used to be an infamous poster who was a big ND fan. However he doesn't "suit up" here anymore

No you aren't. I knew we were in for a long season, and I agree with you that it will be fun to watch them the rest of the season. Charlie Weiss is too good of a coach to let this turn into a complete mess. As far as people piling on you, that's fine. I think a lot of what I've read so far(only on page 4 of this thread) is mostly in good fun. Someone mentioned earlier that you either love or hate Notre Dame. I took some busting from my buddies yesterday. No big deal. The sweet NBC contract rubs people the wrong way. I'm proud of a University that doesn't just sign any recruit. You actually have to perform in the classroom at ND. They are down, but not out. We are Notre Dame.

No you are not.
I like ND as a school.
Very good academics
and I like most of the athletes
they produce. A breath of fresh
air for the most part. I liked their
Bball team last year.

But I have hated their football team
for a very long time. Goes way back to
beating Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

I do admire your guts with what appears
to be a fairly bad team. Redemption is one
game away. You beat PSU, and people will
again have to say they will not die.

Texas will have a damn long season if they play
like they did yesterday. GT also would have killed Texas
yesterday.
