Bengals are dangerous. They look about as hopeless going into the playoffs as the Cardinals did last year.

You brought in those three plus brought in Sheppard to replace your weakest starting position from last year and Revis moved to a whole new level. The run defense actually got worse, it was your pass coverage that really improved and that was due to the new guys along with Revis cutting his YPG to #1 receivers from 52 YPG to an absurd 29 YPG.

Gee, I wonder if the slightly regressed run D has anything to do with Kris Jenkins missing two thirds of the f'ing season. As to your other "point", yeah Rex's players clearly hate him for giving game balls to the fans. Get a clue, Rex has energized the fanbase like no Jet coach since Parcells, and he's at the very least an outstanding defensive mind. The dude is getting significant contributions out of Eric Smith, Sione Pouha and Drew Coleman for FFS. All useless wastes of space under Mangini. He's also lit a fire under Kerry Rhodes' ass for a change. I asked you to name me four games that Rex lost for the Jets and you came up with one where he should have pulled Sanchez or run the ball more when he wasn't even calling the plays. If you don't like him personally and are angry no one wants to coach the Bills, that's your deal, but your arguments as to why people should hate Rex are flimsy.

You don't think the Jets could have won the Jags, Falcons, and at least one of the Dolphins games? The Jets improved from 4-12 to 10-6 in their first year with Mangini. In Ryan's first year they went from 9-7 to 9-7. Please spare me the has energized the fanbase like no Jets coach since Parcells line. That fanbase was completely in love with Mangini in his first season just like they are with Ryan.

What the hell did Rex do wrong in those three games? You still haven't told me how any of them were his fault. Way to use the "9-7 to 9-7" BS like Rex was the only changing variable. As bad as Favre was down the stretch, we had a legitimate pass attack at one point, which we never had this year. Mangini's improvement in '06 was largely because they actually brought in halfway competent O-Linemen and the entire team wasn't on IR like it was in '05. Besides, if a 6-game improvement is the gauge for first-year success, Rex would've had to go 15-1 to satisfy your criteria. And no, you're wrong. We were happy with Mangini's early success, but he didn't involve the fans like Rex has, and didn't build the badass defense Rex has. I was there. The fans like Rex more, and rightfully so.

Pointing out every bad decision is pointless at this point as it is just redboarding since I know how every play call is going to turn out. Regardless, I never said Ryan alone cost them four games, I said Ryan and Sanchez combined did. Most of it was Sanchez but some of it was Ryan putting the ball in his hands in too many situations with the game on the line.

And apparently we remember Mangini's first year quite differently, Jets fans were convinced he was the coach that was going to turn things around, just like they are with Ryan right now. Perhaps the pulse in the city was different then but I can assure you the Jets fans in Albany were just as enamored with Mangini his first season.

Also, why does all the credit for the defense go to Rex Ryan instead of to the Defensive Coordinator?

Because it's Rex's system and Pettine is basically carrying out Rex's orders? I'm sure Pettine is a smart defensive guy as well, but this is Rex's system entirely. Believing anything else would be naive.

Like I said before, Rex didn't start taking any offensive playcalling from Schottenheimer until way after the Bills loss, which, as of yet, is the only loss you've attributed to Rex with more than one word of argument. You're backtracking now, first naming the Dolphins, Jaguars and Falcons games as ones that Rex has lost, but now it's mostly Sanchez?

Not a Jets fan, but I don't believe that the team (especially) and or the fan base really ever loved Mangini. They tolerated his act that first season because he was winning, but you never got the feel that they were enamored with him. His act got really old fast when they started to hit the skids.

Where is the backtracking? I only ever said if you replaced BOTH Ryan AND Sanchez the Jets would have been 13-3. You are the one that keeps saying I am placing all the blame on Ryan.

I simply can't take the Jets as a lock in any playoff game, despite the fact they look like they absolutely should win this game.

Sounds to me like you're pinning the blame on Rex.

Braylon Edwards blows! Freakin pass went right through his hands, Sanchez put it where it needed to be, and the moron can't bring it in. I'm not a Jets fan, but he stinks!
