What do you think the "right system" would be for Tebow? What skills or mechanics has he shown that could even make him a qb for nfl europe let alone the big league?
he can manage the game. Big Ben's first 2 yrs in the league that was his job. just don't lose the game but you don't have to win it. Trent Dilfer has a SB ring that way and should probably have a second with the Bucs.
Tebow is big, strong and probably has a stronger arm than Ben. he even has nice touch on the ball when he needs too. he can make plays with his feet. in the nfl, can he "get the ball out quickly" and most import can he "fit it into the Right spot"?
i just don't think Tebow is superman that the media makes him out to be. he's a nice qb with ridiculous talent around him.

That's like comparing Curlin to Mercury...

on a more realistic level, who would you draft, Tebow or one of the Big XII three headed monster (Harrell, Bradford, McCoy)? For an NFL team, I would take one of the Big XII guys in a heartbeat. Tebow reminds me of Eric Crouch with a better arm and better talent around him. He'll get a shot at QB but as Dala suggested, he's such a good athlete he'd probably be better off playing a different position in the NFL.

On a side note, I think the Ohio State QB Beckman got a raw deal. What exactly had he done wrong that deserved to be benched? Obviously Pryor is the future, but the plug seemed to be pulled awfully quick. Beckman might actually be an alright NFL QB. Seems like a very smart guy and that seems to be the #1 prerequisite to playing quarterback in the NFL these days. Besides, that guy that got benched for his senior year at Michigan after a very good junior year has been doing pretty well in this league...

If you saw Todd..you would know why. Real nice guy....but not a real good qb.

Well... in his favor, he can't be any worse on the NFL level than Troy Smith.

Your honest opinion... do the Buckeyes deserve a BCS game?

I don't know what Smith looks like in the pros. He was 3 times Todd in college, though.Todd's problems are he goes spastic under pressure and will either "I gotta get ridda this thing!!' throw a pick or fumble.

Great arm...can make perfect throws one time and then look color blind or like a farmers plow the next.

I really don't care. You could say Boise and Utah are more deserving since,I think, both are undefeated.

But honest---I have no interest one way or the other.

perhaps I've been too critical of him... he's got a QB rating of 135 this year!

Utah has clinched a spot. I guess it comes down to Boise vs Ohio State vs Texas Tech (altho i think theres a rule that only 2 per conference can get a spot, which is kind of unfair since despite TT's performance on saturday I still think they deserve another shot at a bigtime game)

not much.

Just because you live near GainesHickville doesn't mean you have to defend him, Ms. Penn State Wildcat

Ya I don't know how that stuff works except it goes where the most money is.....all hokey to me...the whole bcs mess.

But I will say that a team who gives up 65 to anybody doesn't deserve a whole lot.

Mr. TebowChristSuperStar is a heck of a good QB IMO. He can throw, run, has a BRAIN, and he inspires his teammates to play better (see Ol' Miss press conference).

He set basically every record a QB can for the state of FL in high school... (except I think a lot of records were broken last year by Tebow's backup)

I think Tebow will be in the top 6 or 7 QB's in the NFL and I think he will be much better than Sissy McNabb. (but that is not saying much)

True... it's a mess.

Remember a few years back when Nebraska got absolutely destroyed like 63-35 or something by Colorado, didn't even win the Big XII North, and ended up in the NC Game? Why- money of course!

be nice to my boy McNabb. And there is 0% chance Tebow will be anywhere CLOSE to McNabb... if he is...

I'm leaving.

JMO, but I doubt he'll be drafted as a QB prospect.

With that said, the kid can throw a ball ... if he can ever get over that 'folding under pressure' routine, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Roethlisberger's contribution to the steelers teams in his first two years is VASTLY underrated. Yes, they had a great running game. Yes, they had a superb defense. At the same time, Big Ben made some great throws especially in the AFC title game in Denver. He actually "won" quite a few games.

Dilfer was a care taker but he was a veteran of 6 seasons before he won the superbowl with the Ravens. Besides that he always had moderate skills.

Tebow can't hit the broad side of a barn. He has receievers with tremendous amount of speed being virtually uncovered that can catch up to his poorly thrown balls. His throwing motion/mechanics are absolutely abysmal and the only thing worse is his footwork and his accuracy on short passes.

He would make an interesting tight end/h back type like dallas clark or chris cooley.

He is no NFL QB under any system.

Phliadelphia is a tough town. Guy gets to a superbowl and four NFC title games and he isnt much of a QB. Tough, tough town.

McNabb is the best QB that town has seen in a long, long time. Comparing Tebow to Mcnabb on an NFL level should be considered criminal.

Tebow can straight up throw the football. I do not agree with you analysis at all. Some team will give him a chance and he'll make it as a QB in the league. I dont care if I'm the only one in the country that thinks this.

And you have have McNabb. All that old man can do is choke. Choked in 3NFC Championship games (did okay in the one we won)

Choked on a Huge Dick during the Superbowl. As much as it hates me to say this, T.O was right about McNabb. Dude looks physically ill at the end of high pressure games. Did you watch the Eagles vs Giants game this year?

He has been the one of the most over-rated QB's in the league for quite some time and he has a piss poor attitude. Next time he laughs and smiles after he throws an interception I am jumping through the tv screen and choking the punk.

McNabb has no place in Philly anymore. He will be gone after this season and I hope the fat ass Reid joins him.

I know you believe you know everything about everything Dala, but you are very wrong about McNabb.

With all due respect, if Tim Tebow is your idea of what a good QB is, I am confident that my opinion of McNabb is right on the money.

I can think of very few QB's that have accomplished what Mcnabb has accomplished with as little as he has had to work with. Besides T.O for 1.5 seasons, what big time receievers did he have? When westbrook is out (which is often), who is the running back? Buckhalter? Are you kidding me?

The only QB in recent memory that i can think of that did more with less was Tom Brady.
