![]() Should be a fine day today. According to the betting it comes down to:
#8 Voile Rouge at 5.5/1 #4 Crown Witness at 5.6/1 #6 Fulfil A Wish at 7.5/1 Figure Size with have ML Yeung up on the pace to keep Crown Witness busy which should leave Whyte in perfect position to swoop in the stretch to win it I like a horse in Race 1 #1 Watch First 7.5/1. BK Ng doesn't start a great many horses and when he does at Shatin take care. Believe it or not he has the 2nd highest win % next to John Size. The team of Ng and Prebble are 12 2 2 2 this season. He takes the blinkers off for this race class 5 and although he is high weight, give him an each way chance |

![]() I didn't know that about Ng. I know he's been a trainer for a very long time but I don't know too much about him at all.
If I were playing (and trying to be objective cause I'm a fan of too many here of course. I need to stop that!) I'd use Crown Witness, Time After Time and Penglai Xianzi in some order but what do I know?! (I do think Time After Time will be totally overlooked.) Good luck! |

![]() Your Time After Time is the consensus pick in Racing Post. Your three horses are excellent. Most favored or Consensus have :
#7 Time after Time #4 Crown Witness #1 Penglai Xianxi # 6 Fufill A Wish Your are on the right horses. Good luck! |

![]() Well thank you for saying that! Didn't do me any good but I'm glad to know my picks looked alright last night anyway.
Kyara? Really? I wasn't expecting that at all. Haven't seen replays yet... I had a fun disaster to deal with last night, but eill soon and will check to see how Watch First did. Hope you did well aside from this race and that you had a lot of fun! Happy Valley on Wednesday? |

![]() Well when you see the video you will see they went slightly faster than par. All 4 leading horses 1-4-6-8 finished off the board. Also take a look at Race 1 and Race 8, you will clearly see why Whyte outclasses all the other Jocks here. Be interested in your opinion, watch the #1 in R1 (on the rail out of the gate. and Race 8 #9 basically in same position.

![]() Yeah he is incredible and in the 8th? I don't even know how he got The Peak through like that. Amazing and yes the best. I agree.
Prebble is my favorite and a brilliant jockey but Whyte is just superb. (Soft spot for Chadwick who is really really good too). I'm excited about one of the races this week at HV... Regency Winner and Emperor Claudius along with poor Jamesina who hasn't won in literally years and the disappointing Helene Spirit and Osvaldo who it seems reemmbered how to win lately. I hope you get to go to that! Some day when you can and if you want to tell me about actually being at both tracks. I love following these horses so much. I wish other places would be as accommodating as the HKJC in terms of giving out so much information. |

![]() Hope you're continuing to hae a great time, Bill.
I've been bad about keeping this up to date. Has there been any word on California Memory? I read where both Mr. Cruz and Matt Chadwick said something "was amiss". Hope they're all okay. Will there be a farewell at Sha Tin for Sacred Kingdom? Thrilled he's been retired and fingers crossed he goes to Living Legends and joins Silent Witness and Bullish Luck. ![]() Please wave to Regency Luck (ed if you're here do you remember a Lion Brain who ran at Awapuni twice cause that's him) when he wins the Skol and yes I know post positions haven't been drawn or anything, but... ![]() |

![]() Haven't really heard anything on Cal Memory. will research and advise.
As for send off for Sky Kingdom yes I am sure there will be a day for him as it was mentioned in the telecast last Monday. Very interesting race 10 on coming Sunday. Class 1 1650m at Happy Valley. Both Mr. Bond and Military attack have the same running style and their last race a HV was terrific. Both scooting up the rail in final 200m to win. Should get plenty of pace with #1 Bullish Champion and #10 Fortune Red Pepper entered. How do you see the race unfolding? |

Mind you I'm trying my best to leave sentiment behind (hoping Emporer Claudius wins, but...) but yeah if I were actually playing it I'd use him in the top spot. Good luck to you! Sorry my "analysis" sucks haha! ![]() (My favorite horse entered tomorrow is poor old Billion in R5 who had so much potential... wonder what happened. Shame). If I were playing I like Hawthorne in the 6th at what I'd imagine will be good odds, Affluence of Rain in the 7th who has got to be the favorite, Jamesina in the 8th if he draws in and Charles the Great who is only three but who looks real good in the 9th (... although I'm rooting for the Windicator horse). Whew! What nonsense! Have a fantastic time. ![]() edit - Forgot to ask you if you think maybe Mister Horse can get his first win today... He's in R2. I've waited for him to win for a long time now. ![]() Last edited by my miss storm cat : 04-14-2012 at 06:24 PM. |
