It is time to retire him....and at the very least to stop shipping him all around the country.

Be careful Andy...you are making way too much sense here...

Frankly, if every time he runs poorly he exits the race with a problem you should really wonder about his handling. Enough.

Pdrift I think we all love your namesake and even if something shows up, it's time. He showed no interest today or at Keeneland and this is a gutsy horse. No shame in that, he's had a tremendous career. Had a few more head bobs gone his way he'd be on his way to the hall of fame.

Why is this horse so controversial? I just don't get it.
At ages 3 and 4 he was a very good horse. He won six graded stakes in those two years.
At age 5 and 6 he began to decline considerably. Although he still managed some good performances, (particularly the '05 BCC) and was consistently in the money he (not surprisingly) wasn't the same horse he was at ages 3 and 4. That is perfectly natural.
At age 7 and now at age 8 he has regressed further. He isn't the consistent G1/G2-caliber horse he once was.
Would ANYBODY disagree with any of the things I said there? If not, why are there so many arguments about this horse? I am not trying to be a smart-ass.....I really don't get it.

Agreed. He's done his fair share... it's only fair to the horse to retire him and let him get started onto something else.

Just in case any of his connections are reading this...

I would give him a wonderful home. Lots and lots of treaties. I can give references...

I was more or less being sarcastic. I just love the old boy. Heck, he isn't considered old in my book. For racing? Maybe, but in the hunter world, he would be just coming into his own.
