Derby, tippling a little of that Ernest and Julio again tonight are we? Just joking. You gave me three dollars and I do appreciate it, need all the help I can get, but I really should be a couple of notches below where you put me. Next time I'll try to not be such a dummy and put an alternate in.

My bad, my Excel spreadsheet stopped calculating properly... I'll make the corrections in one minute

Cal, you are close to being right, actually enjoying a nice wheat ale from my local brew pub... I tried warning you that your horse was a late scratch and you didn't fix it, so I tried to fix it for you J/K, I'll take care of it now

I warned all of you, I'll do my best running this contest but I am far from perfect and need to be checked on regularly

I knew it was late scratch because I watched it, but I thought if I changed horses it still wouldn't count because of the rule about having to have your pick in an hour before post. You're doing great running the contest really.
Most contests I have been in the results sometimes weren't posted for a week or two. It was really my fault for not putting in an alternate. Didn't count on the late scratch though. Didn't see what happened to Austin. Looked like he bucked in the gate and might have kicked it bending his left hind shoe pretty bad. Hope he wasn't injured.

Need to get into "imbibing" (is that the word?) a little myself. Maybe it would help my handicapping. God knows, something needs to. (and a collective yes!! issued from everyone's lips).

I'm actually very flexible with the "rules". I'm usually at home watching the races myself so if I see someone put in a late pick, it's ok by me since I can catch it if it happens after post time. Since no one put $$ into this contest I feel I can be pretty easy-going with "rules"... this is for fun, isn't it?
