IN OTHERWORDS, DON'T ANYONE PLAY MY PICKS! I want to learn how to do it though. This is a fun contest to learn with.
There are other wager calculators out there, but here's a free and easy one.

Don't worry, we can majorly suck at this together!
It would have cost me like $25,000 to include all of the horses I thought I had a chance...it doesn't get worse than that....so basically I just entered to make everyone feel a lot better about themselves.

Default Scratches

Looks like they're no other major changes to today's card!

In the 5th, the 16 horse Capt. Sparrow is out.
All other scratches were announced yesterday.

Default track condition

With all the capping goin' on, I just noticed the track condition is .....

" main track floated last nite and harrowed to 3 " today , turf rail is also at
15' "

Is this normal for santa anita, to float the track. In NY they only do this when they are expecting rain. Was there rain in the forcast, or are they "conditioning the track " for some unexplainable long shots to show up today ? Any left coasters on board here ?

THAT IS EXACTLY WHY I AM PLAYING. We can hang out at the bottom together.

FYI

Floating the track means the tractors pull heavy plates (for lack of better word) over the surface which compacts the surface down to flat. they do this when rain is expected, so the rain will not penetrate the surface . If rain wasnot expected, i don't know why they would do such a thing. Track maintenance is something to pay attention to. They can change a track bias between races by harrowing in the opposite direction, etc. If you recall SB reported that they had scraped the inside at CD on BC day. for what its worth.
