He has to be pretty damn stupid then. Maybe they should have a testing system like the SAT for jockeys.

Man I will tell you one thing though, hes a strong little bastard isn't he?
Imagine having the strength to grab one with that much speed that hard so as to take her from first to last in a 23:1 quarter?
I'm not kidding, he must be strong as an ox in order to have done that.

Umm, we'd have a real jockey shortage.

What do you think the questions would be on the Jockey SAT?

I'd start with a multiple choice question:
You are riding in a sprint race on a contender who has won close to the pace, and set a very fast 1/4 mile in a 125 grand stakes race. Your horse breaks well and makes the lead easily out of the gate and the field is not going very fast.
Do you
A) Keep going on the lead and try to wire them
B) Allow the horse to race under a loose rein while stalking the leader in a great spot
C) either A or B
D) Grab that Mother****er just as hard as you can and strangle her back to dead last behind a very slow 1/4 mile and then go 4 wide at the top of the stretch.

The correct choice is C. Garrett obviously would choose D.

With that said, I hope he's in good form come Breeders Cup day because Drifty is my pick to win.
Cajun, you seem like a very knowledgable horse race fan, thats why you baffle me in that you can question the racing integrity of a brilliant horse like Bernardini, and on the flip side actually think a hanging, cheating, gutless horse like Perfect Drift actually has a chance to win the Classic.

At least he beat Mineshaft once upon a time, and ran PP to a neck, as well as Roses in May.
Whose Bernadini beaten? Who actually finished the race that is.

Perfect Drift has started more times than Bernardini has taken a shiat. He's also raced against tougher competition... he may hang, but if he DOESN'T hang in the BCC this time around, you will be the one eating crow.

Ok thats it, I just can't take it anymore. I have admired Bernadini, but this last post on here has put me over the edge. The Bern fans are just too much. Please let him lose on BC day. This has to end.

I will let you all in to my brillance here. This is why I think Drifty has every shot at winning this race. Because when Drifty wants to run, he runs. He likes Churchill. But my main reason for thinking he very well may surprise you is his ability to rise to the competition. He may not win it, but I think he will be there in the end. Lots of you are saying he hangs, well dang it if he does he is hanging with the best of them. If Bernardini beats him, I predict it will not be by much more than a length.

My dream trip for him will be Lava and Bernardini in front of him turning for home. My guess is Drifty rises to the occasion. I think you all will see a totally different horse on Classic day! That is just my opinion though.

If I am wrong, I will announce that I am wrong, if I am right, I will need all of your addresses to send you a present!

Oh come on, Mineshaft lost because of his horrid ride. Bernardini has only beaten what has been entered against him, thats not his fault. I don't think Perfect Drift will be a challenge in the least, unless he gets in his way on the way back to the winners circle.

Okay, I say the only way Perfect Drift beats him in the Classic is if Bernardini's gate doesn't open. I really don't care how many times he's started, he's a lot older. It's what they make of their starts that excites me, Perfect Drift would come in second in a 35,000 claimer.

Durkin said she was "wrangled back"...bullsh*t....looked like Ric Flair had her in some kind of Full Nelson headlock.

and this is coming from the guy that is still trying to figure out what Prado was thinking on Round Pond...no wait....he wasn't thinking at all.

I give you Larharge a "be nice". Everyone is entitled to their opinion even crazy Buffy and crazier Cajun. Atleast we won't be eating crow for dinner on November 4th.

And the rest of you dudes can Bite ME! Drifty has more class than you guys will ever hope to have. Don't you diss him. Who are you to diss him?
