Impressive against a decent horse in Go Deputy, a 3YO in Showing Up, and Cosmonaut????? Not a very good Grade 1 field to make a case with.

Go Deputy is an improving sort, who won the Sword Dancer, decisively last out. Showing Up was being touted as the best 3 year old turfer, and Relaxed Gesture is a grade I winner. Not a bad grade I, hell there have been a lot worse.
Honestly....right now....it is a total toss up. Could go either way. Both are equally talented. They are 1-2 as far as Older U.S. turf horses go...no doubt in my mind.

EC will always be #1 to me ....even after he is retired and starts making a bunch of little EC's. I would love to see him go to Megahertz....LOL...that poor horse would probably never be bigger than 14 hands..

Since people were talking BC Mile...Pletcher is considering it with Wait A While....

Looks like he will be covered in every race; his best possibilities (Not necessary horses I think will win, but if only I was the female version of Pletcher! )

Juvie - Circular Quay
Fillies - Octave
Mile - Wait A While
Turf - Go Deputy / English Channel
FM Turf - Honey Ryder / Mag Song
Sprint - Friendly Island
Classic - Flower Alley
Distaff - Spun Sugar / Pool Land / La Reason / Oonagh McCool / Fleet Indian / I must be missing others...

I might be wrong, but Showing Up should not even run in the Breeders Cup. Sit the horse out that day. There are tons of races he could do very well in (dirt or turf).

Cacique and Wait A While will not win the mile. I like Aragorn and Gorella more so than those two. Plus we have no clue what milers are coming over from Europe.

I cannot believe Showing Up was bet so low. Showing Up has never faced the caliber of horses he did today. Plus being a 3 year old was a huge negative. He should remain on turf for the 07 season and he should dominate.

He's got nearly the entire field save Pine Island (who I'm loving) in the Distaff! LOL

It's gonna be hilarious. Pletcher's gonna have five starters and Pine Island and Balletto are gonna run one-two.. It's gonna be like Zito in last year's Derby, but worse.

What about Fleet Indian?
