![]() Considering that they paid the same number of winners out of 25% of the pool that could have been paid out of the 75% pool, that would have been a stunning $22.80

![]() The $2 Pick 3 paid $30.80 in races #5, 6, and 7.
The Pick 6 consisted of races #4, 5, 6, and 7 - and it paid $7.60 for $2 Because of the ALL's - people with winning tickets collected a bunch of $7.60's - on something that figured to pay $50+ each The people who win in this situation - are the people who hit the Pick 6 today. The carryover is basically money that was taken out of the pockets of yesterdays winners. |

![]() I like how the story is how they're going to investigate "the mistake in the mutual department" - but they don't attack the rule.
The rule is the story. The rule is vile and criminal. The mistake in the mutual dept is tolerable. Friggen Presque Isle went 3 weeks without showing Daily double, pick 3, and pick 4 will-pays ... and after a stream of complaints .. they finally decided to show them... they showed them AFTER the race was complete. And did it for days before more complaints came in. In other words - after race #4 was already over - they showed the graphic on TV of the will-pays for that race. Let's see here: on one hand - you have a rule that steals from the pockets of bettors. On the other hand - you have some dope in a mutual dept who isn't paying close attention. What's the story? |

![]() Here's a breakdown:
55,402 (bet into the Pick 6 pool) 34,680 (confiscated to fund a next day carryover) 8,865 (Takeout) 11,857 (returned to people who correctly selected the 4 winners) 78.6% Takeout rate!!!! That is how a pick 3 in races 5 through 7 pays $30.80 - while a PICK 4 in races 4 through 7 pays only $7.60 |
