Ken Rudolph might be a terrific guy. He might be the salt of the earth.. He is the single worst listen on TVG. I really scratch my head how any exec. can listen to him on air and suggest that he is anything but completely miscast. I don't have any reason to dislike Rudolph, I just find his complete lack of ANY knowledge about racing a horrible disservice to the audience.. In fact, it is bordering on crimnal. There are a ton sharp folks in the industry that could help promote the sport and be entertaining. Some days I go from listening to 3 hours of good Horse radio on ATR and then they switch to TVG at noon. While the formats are completely different, which I get, TVG can just be awful. Save Mat virtually nobody does the work. Rudolph comments are so off base that you wonder if why the heck he is allowed on air?

So if Vic takes any air time from Rudolph I will consider it a huge upgrade. At the very least Vic has had a hand in the business long enough to have a clue.

I agree. I really enjoy Vic's calls and look forward to seeing him on TVG. It would be an added bonus if he was able to take any air time away from Ken Rudolph. Like Freddy, I have nothing personal against the guy. But some of his statements/analysis are just mind boggling and I can't figure out what kind of audience he thinks he playing for. He just seems like he is constantly coming off as a fool.

Carothers is probably a nice guy but I can't listen to him. It amazes me that a guy with that horrible of a voice is on tv.

Staufficus, who was the son of the blue nymph Liariope of Lesbia. The horse god Sypholis, had once encircled Liarope with the windings of his bullcrap, and thus trapping her, had seduced the nymph, who gave birth to an exceptionally beautiful boy... Staufficus.

When he had reached "his sixteenth year", (fifteen years of age, by modern reckoning) every youth and girl in the town was in love with Staufficus, but he haughtily spurned them all. He believed them not to be worthy of his love.

One day when Staufficus was out hunting stag, Rosario stealthily followed the handsome youth through the woods, longing to address him but unable to speak first. When Staufficus finally heard footsteps and shouted "And here comes Zeeeeeeeen-yata", Rosario answered "And here comes Zeeeeeeeen-yata" And so it went, with audience roars being pumped into the background until finally Rosario showed herself and rushed to embrace the lovely Staufficus. He pulled away from the undersized elf and vainly told her to leave him alone. Staufficus left Rosario heartbroken and she spent the rest of her life in the lonely glens of WinStar Farms, pining away for the love she never knew, until only her voice remained.

For this transgression against Rosario Staufficus would be punished by the muse Stewardesius.

One day, Staufficus came across a deep pool in a forest, from which he took a drink. As he did, he saw his reflection for the first time in his life and fell in love with the beautiful boy he was looking at, not realizing it was himself. Eventually, after pining away for a while, he realized that the image he saw in the pool was a reflection of himself. Realizing that he could not act upon this love, he tore at his dress and beat at his body, his life force draining out of him.

Thanks to all of you for reading.

Happy Holidays

Ok. I'll let you take full credit for the literature we all got to enjoy. Super 13th post. Looking forward to even more.

Wow....post of the year...I have never agreed with something more I have read here in a while then this....How he has a job on tvg is a head scratcher and when they construct the TVG "all-star" ticket and give him a leg I am baffled

And good luck Vic with TVG, your call in the Vanity was my favorite call of the year

Actually, it was his 12th post that was super.

His 13th was merely sharp.

Staufficus lives up to the story's billing, for his 404 posts must certainly make him far more important and credible than I.

As for those of you with thousands of posts to your name.... feel free to put Staufficus in his place, for 404 posts are not enough to merit relevance to those of you that have posted thousands of times.
I was actually mocking "Staufficus", not you, but okay.

No doubt. There's also no doubt Vic that this dude is stalking you. I'd contact the authorities or at the very least a moderator should step in. This is some seriously strange stuff.

lol.

I'm sure its just a long time member who suddenly found his voice. Kudos to him for doing his homework and bravely stepping forward when many dilettantes would hide behind a pseudonym.
