i was alive to 5 runners just not the 4, of course figuring turf. I guess the $50 win on the 4 was an okay saver, but would of loved to see that 9 finish in the lead.

According to DRF after the race changes surfaces and wagering is closed, all selections are guaranteed winners. But that didn't happen, they paid the winner?

As much as people bitch and moan about NYRA at least the pick 4 and pick 6 policy for off the turf races is right on target.

Who knows what would have happened if they stayed on the turf. I played the winner to win after the race was switched to the main and it covered the p4 wager.

Florida wagering laws.

Agreed, we do not know who would have won, but I would have been much happier having it play out on the surface I bet it ad handicapped it on, than having it switched to dirt minutes before post.

The place is an embarrassment.
What is that all about? I got screwed as I punched my tickets already. I almost played a backup pk4 ticket singling the 5 in the first leg which I would have been live to the 2,11 in the finale. I would be steaming right now if they took that off and I was holding a live pk4 ticket, the fact that they don't pay all is absolutely insane.

I agree with everything you just said. But I've had plenty of bad beats and I've learned it's not worth getting angry over them. It's easy to forget the lucky trips or circumstances that occur in a horse race. It stinks that the race was switched to the main track but we're wagering on a game of chance and stuff lke that happens.

Some things Stronach manages to do so well though, breeds good horses, keeps them in training longer than most, he built a beautiful recreational facility for the farm employees and his retirement program for retired race horses is really outstanding: http://www.adenaretirement.com/

If we're handing out bon mots to Stronachs, be aware that his ever-lovin' and long-suffering wife is responsible for the equine retirement program and a lot of the charitable treatment of MEC employees. That kind of time commitment would take away from Frank's skirt chasing...

I looked quick to see who ran the fastest mile at Gulfstream yesterday and it looked like Miner's Reserve, but they had no fractions listed for the race just a 135.87 final time. I watched a replay of the race and saw a first quarter of 24.03 then no fractional times the rest of the race. I am wondering how legit the 94 Beyer is. I didn't think it started raining until after the 8th but I am probably wrong because Amen Hallelujah got a 100 beyer and Radiohead ran over a second faster and got a 94 si I guess the track slowed down?
