I had a feeling that would happen, which is why I tried to hook him up in a double instead of betting him to win. I got the equivalent of 11-1 on him w/the double bet, so it's still a loser if he doesn't win, but at least I go down swinging. Gulfstream either has terrible morning lines or thousands of bettors who think just like me, because this kind of thing happens to me almost daily.

Good bet! This horse was 11-1 with 7 minutes left then droped to 5-1 at post.

1st 2 finishers ran together last time. You may want to add Obligingly on your horse to watch list next time out

According to the DRF a couple of weeks ago:

"Pletcher also said he opted to pass Saturday's Sam F. Davis Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs with Obligingly and will aim instead for the March 7 Gotham at Aqueduct. "

It's like Jordan against a special olympics squad. That's how much better Gomez is than the rest of the colony.

Have to wonder whether someone gave Barrington Harvey a bag of money to kill the chalk up front. He looked determined to get that horse beat.

What would have the Magna 5 paid if Baze won at GG? 1200?

The horizontal payoffs varied from 2 to almost 4 x the payoff for the chalk(Baze.) So, I guess between 1k-1.7k

I'm there with you Steve -- finally hit one of these today. Mine was:

$1: 2,5/1,4,5/3,11,12/3,6,7/1,2,8 = $162 . Great day...loving the fact they offered a $1 minimum this year. Congrats to everyone else who had a good day today too.
