Very nice 56K.....hope he played it and didn't just give it out. That would be two in a few weeks counting the BC no?

That's his third nice score including his score at the Breeders Cup in the past few weeks. Did he do it with his A picks again?

Not that I bet her today, but Boca Belle didn't run to her purchase price or her very low odds. Is this a 2nd time bet at better odds with one race under her belt? Or is she a thud. I'm leaning towards the former but she has to be atleast 3X the 1.80 debut price for me to try her.

What do you mean that you hope he played it? Of course he did....how else could he have scooped it?

He didn't write about it.

No, but he hit it with his main A-B ticket.

He told me prior to the Pick-6 that he was going to play to hit it if at least two of Tall Poppi-Under Serviced-Classic Pack won.

I put in $132 dollars and had one five on a $4 back up. The first winner was my second choice, and I should have used it as a C, and then I would have had 2 more 5s. Unfortunately I only used Tall Poppi.

No, I rarely take a piece of his action anymore. I'm too busy.

I watched him lose photos for at least 20 pick-6s over the last couple of years. He had this roll coming.

Good for Steve, I got a lot of time for his opinions, I still remember him making me take a second look at Shakis on Travers Day. Glad I did!

Ahh Andy there are a few definitions to "scooped" you might want to consider here but "play" isn't one of them.

Scooped for a horse racing writer may imply that he had it before others, or even he "printed or reported" it in a column or here's one .....maybe he reported on his blog and "scooped" the other racing writers publishing stories or columns today.......thanks for clarifying that.

No horseplayer could possibly misconstrue what I said.

Your comment seemed to imply that I attend night school but frankly it isn't worth it because again you simply don't understand when your insulting someone.

the inital statement ."hope he played it" was kind of a back stab..of anyone in the world of horse racing/handicapping id say that crist gets the benefit of not having a jury about his play..imo

Fair enough but it wasn't meant as a slight as Byk will put out plays that at times he doesn't play because it doesn't seem to be the goal all the time to play all of your published plays as a racing writer or handicapper that represents a publication (DRF) or media venture (ATR) or any other public media that reaches large numbers of players. I am sure that every opinion in the form under SELECTIONS in the DRF doesn't get bet or many of them would be broke.

The comment had no hidden agenda or contrarian opinion it was simply 1) acknowlegement that he had recently hit the BC P6 as well and 2) was hoping that wasn't the day someone else cashed the guys thoughts from his readers rather than him. Hopefully enough said..
