As opposed to the constant babble about a horse that hasn't won since Nixon was President?

first- when i bet him, do you not think i realize he has had a problem of winning in recent times? i bet on him for fun cause i like him. is that so bad?do i think he will win ever again, i don't know but i know he has more raw talent then any other horse in this race. and i do believe in my heart he will win again, maybe never a grade 1. are you telling the you have no doubt in your mind this horse cant win a graded stakes ever again? i'm exacta boxing him with bobo and hoping for the best.

if i bet hardcore like you, no i wouldn't bet him to win. only to round out exotics. its that i want to see him hopefully regain some of his previous form and catch another graded stakes

I think it would be appropriate to change the title of the thread to " Perfect Drift in the Back. "

Another throat infection I assume.

i would have to believe that there is something physically wrong. you have to admit he should have never been last in that group. have to wait and see.

I don't agree. He has barely run a step in quite some time.

It is time to retire him....and at the very least to stop shipping him all around the country.

it may be time. but i believe dr reed will run diagnostics on him first. don't you agree that to see him place last was a surprise also. i will have to wait and see what comes of this. i think if they find nothing then he should be retired, cause he is better then this type of showing . with this outcome i'm not sure what to think

I'm not at all surprised he ran last. He is simply no longer competitive.

Look, he's had a terrific career, and run many excellent races despite some curious handling ( the inane insistance that he was a turf horse has wasted more than a few races in his career ). However, he's no longer remotely competitive in halfway decent races. Plus, shipping him around the country in a desperate attempt to squeeze some more money out of him seems pretty unfair.

The last place finish surprised me since I thought there were at least two or three horses he could beat. Time's definitely caught up to him. It'll be nice to see him go to the farm or maybe get a gig as a lead-pony at Churchill or something.

As for me, I'm still sore from Perfect Drift's 2004 Whitney.

On paper he looked in the lower half of the field, last maybe a surprise but not much.

i mean that just isn't even the same drift from last year at all and to see him last against a few of those horses is very strange

I highly doubt any of the problems they have claimed after his poor efforts have been true. It's BS. He is too slow for the races he is running in.

Frankly, if every time he runs poorly he exits the race with a problem you should really wonder about his handling. Enough.
