Yeah I don't have the charts for opening week but i'm sure speed was holding. I'm not going to look it up because I refuse to change my opinion, just like you.

We both agree CQ has no shot right? So why argue over semantics?

Does anyone think that the Belmont might have been a better spot to bring back CQ?

Why rush for this spot, when you can train up and make a good run in the Belmont.

It is probably that avatar. The guy is named after a ballet dancer's costume and all.

Seriously, I think how the track played yesterday and all last week is a little more relevant than how it played a month ago. Your post, in my opinion, was misleading at best. We can agree to disagree. I do it with most horse players every single day at the windows at least 40 times a day.

I'm not sure 1-1/2 miles is right up CQ's alley.
And the same owners (tabor) are sending rags to riches, so I'm not sure it makes much sense to place him there even if he does fit that track/race better.

I'm not saying CQ is a lock in the preakness, I just think he adds another interesting element to what was shaping up to be a fairly weak and predictably chalky race. Especially with Chelokee passing on it.

No--the Met Mile would be a better spot than the Belmont for him...though Pletcher has probable favorite Lawyer Ron for that race.

Being out of Circle of Life, CQ's best served as a late runner in one-turn races at a mile or elongated sprint distances.

I'm thankful i'm not you. I'd kill myself. What a pathetic, petty excuse for a human being.

What exactly did I say to deserve that?

I would agree with the Met Mile being a better spot, and the one-turn mile thought.

I just don't like him in this Preakness spot.

True, I spaced on the R2R and CQ being the same ownership group.

You got that from this?

I made no claims other than I bet about 40 races a day.

I'm sure Pletcher can find plenty of races with lots of speed that'll collapse nicely for the runt. Why actually test him?

And that's the reason why you're the best handicapper ever.

Awesome, I had no idea that was all it took. I may bump it up to 50 on Thursday. Monday to Wednesday are just too slow.

The reason I assumed he would run in the Preakness is Coolmore. At this point, winning the Preakness or Met Mile ( where IMO he should be running ) may be about the only reasonable spots left to increase his breeding value, as he obviously has absolutely no chance in the Belmont.

While Todd has who may be the Met favorite in Lawyer Ron, good luck to him, I am sure if Tabor/Coolmore wanted to run Circular Quay there he would be running....Lawyer Ron or not.

do you think they have an interest in beating Street Sense (who's sire is Street Cry)?

I'll take the hard data over the "I was there in April" or "yeah, but one race was a claimer" and whatever else is used to back up an argument.

As for this post:

No problem. I am sorry that I reacted so strongly.
These misunderstandings happen on the net because you can't really detect the tone someone means to imply.
As far as I am concerned it is already forgotten.

I wouldn't put anything past them. However, I think their main interest is in making Circular Quay worth as much as possible, which certainly makes perfect sense.
