Boy, I don't trust Swap Flipperoo. A closing sprinter going two turns for the first time in a paceless race? I need a lot more than that to hone in on a very chalky exacta.

Even if she wasn't the best horse, and she is, she has a HUGE tactical advantage in the race.

Look, she was never as good as her hype, and I say this having made a score with her in the BC, but she was always very talented. Plus, she has had serious physical issues, and if she is past them she could be a dominent player in that division this year.

Talent wise, she seems head and shoulders above the rest here..

Not real sure where that comes from....unless you are speaking about the health issues....She has never been off the board....multiple grade 1 wins....when all in the distaff division are right, she is the best out there and barring any unforseen setbacks, she will be the dominant one this year...but then again, I might be a little bias....

You are talking about a $5 exacta.

I prefer Miss Shop, who will be comfortably placed, and pretty much ridden for second.

Hooves...the money looks to be made by singling RP in the middle of the Pick 3. Maybe catch a price in the 2 turf races.

There's really only three contenders in the 6th, Omeya, Josefine's Pride and maybe Just a Little Jet ( coming off a monster bet by me ), and I don't think any will be much price.

The 8th is a little more open....just a little. Not sure I see any great possibilities at first glance, though Real Property may have a shot at a price, and maybe Double Dinghy Day will offer a smidgeon of value. Certainly Perfect Motion doesn't HAVE to win.

I think she needs a new engine to be competitive here.

Getting pretty scary.

How about Mike Gorham having a first timer today at Gulfstream, a NY Bred, but like IRON, and not running a step. THAT'S embarrassing. For a horse like that to take money like he took, and not show up even a little bit, is somewhat rare. Any " logic of the illogic " makes that horse tough to go past.

That being said, I bet the second finisher, and am still baffled by the performance of the winner. He was put into a drive on the backstretch to keep up, and still battled back. Don't see that too often.
