The guys from TVG are absolutely brutal...I honestly mute the tv in between live races...those idiots are not only annoying, but have major attitudes...Carrothers comes across as a knowitall....while I am no fan of Watchmaker, the way he ridicules Watch is bad....I wouldnt be suprised if Watchmaker goes into TVG studios and puts a bullet in his head...Ken Rudolph is just plain embarassing...his performance during the eclipse awards should have gotten him fired...Iggy Puglisi actually talks like he was some kind of hall of fame rider...he has been talking about his big comeback to the track for a year now..wonder whats taking him so long? .Hearing Todd Schrupp makes me want to go out and kill a litter of cute innocent puppies...the guy takes annoying to a new level...he was actually singing a song about hitting a pick 3 yesterday...Gary Stevens(or as Schrupp calls him G Stevens) brings nothing to the table (he should watch and learn from Jerry Bailey on how to talk about racing)...all he is good for is picking horses he rode 2 yrs ago....Mr. B could put a rabid rotweiler on cocaine to sleep with his boring analysis....Frank Lyons is usually too drunk to make any sense....Simon Bray is ok...Greg Wolff is harmless...did I leave anyone out?

This is a step in the right direction for the industry. In the end, the wagering drives the business at these tracks, and having a comprehensive outlet for betting most major outlets is the way to go. I liken this somewhat to the merger of XM and Sirius recently.

Pari mutuel online wagering in horse racing is a fat and gluttonous beast. Just like satellite radio. Now, the two biggest boys join hands and trim the fat around the excess. TVG is left in the cold as of right now, but I dont think it will be for long. Are you telling me the execs will honestly think they can run a true network with the crown being the NYRA and the undercard being Oak Tree, Hollywood, Del Mar, and Los Alamitos? Doubtful.

TVG will be squeezed by the tracks they have exclusive deals with to join the new CDI/Magna venture because they offer more opportunity for wagering dollars, which are needed.

This is a good day for racing IMO.

Pretty accurate if you ask me, and I've only been watching about a month.
It's so routine and boring. For some reason it really annoys me when that Ken Rudolph says "Enjoy" just before they turn it over to the track announcer to broadcast the race. I would enjoy it if he would just shut up.

I will say one thing that I do like about TVG. When they have Vic out at Bay Meadows doing little reports in between races. He is funny, has good guests that actually say something interesting about horses or races. Vic is the man!

I don't even play Bay Meadows but when I see Vic come on I turn the mute off.

He is booking mounts for Lumpkins and Rosario at Bay Meadows right now after Gulfstream was comedy. He is calling Hollywood starting April 26th or whatever it is. Settle hints to get him here. I FINALLY got Bigruins here, trust me, he is a treat, I think he bets about $200 a day, all $2-$4 TOTAL wagers, the guy is great

I really dont care about whether or not I can bet on a race, I just want to be able to see the races of the major tracks, especially everything east of the Mississippi.

Thanks.....I try not to post much/clog this place up...but the topic of TVG is one which I feel necessary to talk about....too bad a channel with such good technology is wasted by horrible hosts...and now mostly poor tracks...

I would think two people who would have excellent shots of going from TVG to HRTV are Gary Seibel and Christina Olivares. I believe Gary is well liked by people behind the scenes at HRTV and I also know that HRTV was sad that Christina left them for TVG. Christina improved when she got more air time at TVG and has developed into a good pre and post race interviewer, besides being great on the eyes.

The thing nobody mentions about TVG is that they are still only in 12 states to accept wagers. They are not in NY, Ill, Fla or NJ and dont figure to get into those states in the near future. In addtion, they are not a favorite of the CHRB and the CHRB has say in which ADW's are accepted in California. If there is an alternative to TVG, that offers all of the tracks it might win out over TVG in the future. If TVG ever lost California as an ADW state they would be gone.

Ken Rudolph is so god awful, how he was hired is mind boggling....only person i enjoy listening to is Greg Wolf, Christina Olivares, and SOMETIMES Matt Carothers.....the only person I hate listening to possibly more then ****** Ken Rudolph is Dave Weaver.

At the rate Frank Stronach is showing losses, 87 million this year, I wouldn't enter into anything with this man. Not anything.

This is a great move for TVG, HRTV, CDI and Magna. The bettors will still be the ones who will absorb any costs. But HRTV will own racing from Dec to May.

TVG will focus on international racing which is good for them.

CDI wants to broadcast their signal globally as well so partnering with Magna will benefit them as well.

Basically, this is good for everyone. Now if you do not get HRTV then get the Dish Network. Only think I would be interested in is seeing which way NYRA goes.
