![]() Steve is a good handicapper but why single for the P4? When I see someone post that, I auto throw out the P4 and play the P3.

![]() Steve:
Thanks... Hit the late Pick 3 at GP for a deuce... On top of yesterday's Pick 3 at SA... I kind of agree with the last post... Would much rather play a Pick 3 for $2 and be able to spread it a little vs. a Pick 4 for $1.... Obviously, you have a better chance of hitting and payoffs with a $2 ticket for roughly the same amount of capital as a Pick 4 iwth $1 is quite competitive. Keep up the good work... Will check in tomorrow... PSH

I originally started wider in the first leg with 2 horses in the nightcap. But even with the spread in the 6th I didn't see that winner.. And going that way would have meant missing the P3 too because the Nicks nightcap winner would have been omitted! Have been pretty good with the singles in the 4's actually. As it turned out, the P3 was a better play... The alternatives to my P4 suggestions are in the individual races obviously, but I think I'm going to start offering specific wider plays in the 4 in addition to the <$50 base. I've cost us all some really nice hits by not coming out and saying 'you need to spend $72 or $96 to hit this 4', etc.. Quote:
